REGISTRATION FOR A BRIDGE TOO FAR 2004 CLOSED ON 10th August, 2004

In response to the overwhelming interest shown in the 2004 Arnhem ASL tournament and given the practical limitations of the gaming rooms, accommodation and Tournament Rounds, we are pleased (and saddened) to announce that no new participants will be accepted, as per August 10th, 2004.

On this date, the number of pre-registrations exceeded our wildest expectations by reaching 46, while a small number of players is still in the process of finalising their registration. Given our constraints, this is all we can handle at the quality level we aim for. We must follow one of the basic rules of ASL: don't overstack !

All players, with whom we were communicating about their participation on/before this date, will be accommodated if confirmed. For other interested ASL players, we unfortunately can do no more than offer them places on a waiting list (in case of cancellations, which are unlikely as all participants have paid deposits and/or booked flights) or ask them to wait until the 2005 Edition. We certainly intend to increase our capacity (especially by adding a Sixth Round of Tournament Play) to accommodate all.

Obviously, we are thrilled by the growth of our Event and look forward to organising an even better, and bigger, A Bridge Too Far in 2005 !
