On the Concealment loss/gain table, note A (Case A?) "If it....uses Non-Assault Movement..."

Is advancing in APh NAM or does that distinction only apply during MPh?

Assault movement is (as noted in A4.61) an option available only in the Movement Phase

A4.7 states that a move in Advance Phase is a "... one hex advance".

A.3 states the times when this is not applicable will be clearly stated in the relevant rule.

Also note Case B on the Concealment chart states the concealment problems associated with the Advance Phase

Ok, so an advance is neither NAM or AM since it isn't movement. Therefore advancing into LOS while in concealment terrain retains concealment.

Look at A12.14. On of the ways of loosing concealment is:

"moves/advances/withdraws into an Open Ground hex (as defined in 10.531)"

So when you advance, you loose "?" if any of the enemy units in LOS could have fired on you with FFMO if the advance instead had been Assault Movement during a MPh.

Right, I'll be advancing into concealment terrain (brush) so the B note doesn't apply to me just yet.

Note that whether or not its concealment terrain isn't important for concealment loss purposes, only if its Open Ground or not.

So if you advance into an Open Ground hex, but the only Good Order enemy unit in LOS has a +1 Hindrance between you and him, then you don't loose concealment.

Yes, I misspoke. I was lumping together the fact that brush is already non-OG.
