    VASL-6.6.8 is released

I have that problem too - workaround is I mouse over the screen in the task bar, right click, select "maximise", and it comes to the front.

    VASL-6.6.8 is released

In the games where you have noted these problems, did you have a turn track or the hexgrid overlay in place?

    Nimbus counter question

I feel like I should know this one... Interestingly it's not on my avatar, not sure why. I think it's the same -1 as on all motorcycle counters, see D15.5 "all fire vs a mounted motorcyclist is subject to a -1 To Hit DRM for Ordnance or a -1 IFT DRM for non-ordnance weapons."

    New VASL Extension - BoardZoomer.vmdx

Hi Phillippe, try the new version of the Hideable Control Markers (v2.5), where the perimeter markers now zoom with the map. The interface has changed to hopefully make it easier to find and interact with counters, there's a user guide included in the extension. If you've already laid out a...

    New VASL Extension - BoardZoomer.vmdx

Thanks @nslcole71, I think I can see what is causing the problem, but as most of the code for this extension is embedded in VASL rather than the extension itself, it would need to wait for the next VASL release.

    New VASL Extension - BoardZoomer.vmdx

You can zoom your view of the board in and out as often as you like without affecting the other player's view, just like the regular zoom function. The zoom values > 100% will be the most useful, but values < 100% are included in case you want to use existing Deluxe boards at a reduced zoom to...

    Hideable control and perimeter markers

Thanks @ibncalb and @DougRim, I will indeed keep working on issues that crop up - as work, life and ASL playing commitments (least to most important?) permit of course :).

    Hideable control and perimeter markers

Ughh, gotta love those types of intermittent problems... the old perimeter counters will definitely not play nicely with deluxe (or other sized) hexes, that should have been fixed in V2.5 but this overlay stacking issue is not something I've encountered (but I don't use overlays that much). To...

    Hideable control and perimeter markers

Thanks @apbills and all - I'm working on a new version, revamped the interface with counters dragged off drop-down menus instead of having to find them in the counter trays, plus expandable 1-6 hex area control markers (e.g. for CGs that set perimeters as 2 hexes within controlled strategic...

    Map Inventory

Hmm, @SteelDragon it's already failing for some reason I don't understand when I have lots of pieces off the map, I tried limiting it to pieces that are on the mapboard, even that misses pieces on half-hexes. It might be difficult to get reliably working as the interaction with various VASL...

    Map Inventory

It turns out it was a direct implementation of the VASSAL Game Piece Inventory Window, no custom code. Try the attached, I haven't seen the original version working so not completely sure of the settings, please let me know if this works like the old one (just remove the .zip extension, I had to...

OBA Immunity via Multiple Cliff Hexsides?

While we're at it, B11.431: "Climbing units may only fire during their AFPh." That seems very clear, I'm just wondering at the justification of allowing climbing units to take their eyes and hands off the rocks long enough to fire in their own turn, but not in the opponent's turn in the DFPh...

OBA Immunity via Multiple Cliff Hexsides?

B11.42: "...Climbing units at a level higher than the base level of the hex are immune to Indirect Fire unless the attack crosses the lower-elevation hexside opposite the cliff..., OBA is considered traced from the center of... the Firer's Friendly Board Edge..." What if the hexside opposite...
