    Armageddon 2015

As far as I'm concerned, the current beta is equivalent to the final release - code wise. What's left has nothing to do with code - it's the game menu (that no experienced player uses anyway). I don't know what the hold up is with that or when it will appear (or even why it was necessary to...

    Armageddon 2015

Sounds like you did the accidental event duplication thing.

    Getting close on my scenario.

Works for me. It just takes one night plus a bit of the morning. I use smartFTP, so if I get disconnected, it can start over from where it left off without needing to start over from scratch.

    WW1 Reconnaissance Aircraft

I plan to post the next update to the Wishlist January 1st. The pace of suggestions has slowed enough that that's now often enough.

Note that the last update to the Wishlist was January 1st. This issue wasn't confirmed till February.

Request for comments: Modern equipment DB for TOAW III

I think you're confusing terms. And that's understandable considering how confusing that paragraph in the document was written. There are two completely different "DF"s referenced, and there are two completely different "weight"s referenced. I failed to properly distinguish which ones I was...

    Bioeditor and Modeling

Slightly different: http://perso.orange.fr/yves.lr/Bioed/Bioed.htm Which, in the Word document, works (not provided to the updates). In the PDF document, it doesn't. I don't know why. That would be great.

Are you refering to this one: http://pagesperso-orange.fr/yves.lr/Bioed/Bioed.htm I just tried it, and it still works for me.

    Some considerations concerning design...

This is why one should always go to the trouble to code up the PO for both sides. Not because it makes the PO a good opponent, but because it allows you to run PO vs. PO tests. PO vs. PO tests allow you to cheaply sort out crude mistakes with the events or reinforcements, etc. and sort out the...

    1Km East Front scenario?

TOAW maps are limited to 300x300. 300 km wouldn't cover the entire front at any period.

Turn Range in the Event Engine

    My guess is Turns 10-14.

West Front 44 v. 2.63 Heldenkaiser vs. Nemo

And note that a popular US trucking company back in those days was named "Red Ball". If it was happening today, it would probably have been called "UPS Express" instead.

    unit colors

Personally, I just leave them in 24bit. The files are a little bigger, but so what?

    BioEd, Problem and Question

Correct. The "How to..." document was written before Ralph changed the code so that the equipment.eqp file was omitted from the graphics folder. In the next update (whenever that finally happens) there will be a copy provided somewhere, but it's not necessary.

Western Front 1944 - Nemo vs Heldenkaiser

File name I see is: WF1944_Brittany_Turn015.jpg So, it would seem that it's a .jpg, not a .png.

    New version of ODD

Thanks Curt. That will be an exellent test. And if there is anyone else out there giving it a try, please post a report for us when you're done too.

    New version of ODD

Curt, let us know if there are scenarios out there that have been modified/created via the F4/F5, F6/F7 things, extensively tested and found to work properly. Personally, I still remain leary of them because of their past (ACOW) history. That's despite having run tests on their current states...

    Icon Modification

I just use the "Pick" tool. Click on a color you want to match and there you have it.

    Making Maps for TOAW

Making the map is my favorite part of the design process. The research tends to be much easier than Force research. And it gives you chills when it's finished and looks spot on. Force design can be a pain when you're doing research for a year and use half a dozen spreadsheets to design...

    Transport Helo range

Thanks for the input, Don. And that was useful. But I'd really like to focus on the NATO-WP thing, because that's where the problem really crops up. Falklands, Afganistan, Israel, Vietnam, etc. all had one side out-classing the other in the sky. I don't see any problem with how TOAW handles...
