    SFF order of attacks

There's old Q&A supporting @Robin Reeve's answer: A8.14 If a unit expends two MF to enter a Location during its MPh and is First Fired on by a squad, must/can the latter use Subsequent First Fire vs. the target before any other DEFENDER unit may use First Fire vs. it? A. The order of such...

    Help! 155mm CH

C3.7 "a CH occurs on an Original 2 DR during the resolution of a HE (or WP; see 3.76) FFE (1.53), or on an Original TH DR of 2 on the Area/Vehicle Target Type or on a LATW TH Table." and "A CH also occurs while using the Infantry Target Type whenever the Final TH DR is < half the Modified TH#...

    Heroic DRM and Cocktail Molotov

I overlooked the "weapon counter" when I answered above. Thank you for finding it. However, A15.24 says "counter" and "Normal Range". The Index for Normal Range refers to in A1.22, A9.1, and C2.25. A MOL doesn't have a "Normal Range" nor is it a "counter".

    Column Disbandment Query

Yes, but what if the enemy stack is Dummies? In that case, the Dummy stack is eliminated, the DEFENDER Column units remain concealed and in a Column because there's no Known enemy ground unit, and the ATTACKER Column continues as a Column, again because there's no Known enemy ground unit...

Placing demo charge from a smoke hex

A23.3 says "...expending extra MF (in the hex the DC is Placed from) equal to the number of MF it would require that unit to directly enter that target Location...". The cost to enter the hex the DC is being placed in would be 1 MF so the cost to place the DC is 1 MF. As you wrote, the extra MF...

    VBM freeze

@klasmalmstrom is right. A7.211 says TPBF applies (vs PRC not BU in a CT AFV) when the firer is in that Location or any higher Location in that hex. Units in a lower Location would not get TBPF and not be frozen.

    VASL-6.6.8 is released

Yes, @rHunter2002 . There's no need to go incrementally.

    Column Disbandment Query

There is no need to "drop concealment", temporarily revealing a concealed unit is enough to cause the acting unit to lose concealment. See A12.14, the paragraph after the list that starts with "A concealed Infantry unit": "If the only Good Order enemy ground unit in LOS is itself concealed when...

    Prisoners and Exit VP

If you fire at an enemy unit guarding squad counters of prisoners you may get lucky and break the guard. If the prisoner squad fails its MC, it's only CRed and can try to attack the guard.

Help! In the middle of the game.... Ordnance Area Fire C.4

You have choices. You could use the ITT, applying the Case K +2 DRM, but acquisition doesn't apply, and you won't gain acq unless that shot causes loss of concealment, C6.57. Any hit would be with the full FP of the Ordnance. If you use ATT, which would attack at 1/2 FP if you get a hit, but you...

    Heroic DRM and Cocktail Molotov

As @EagleIV wrote, since the hero is using a SW, it can't use its IFP, so no heroic DRM. "Inherent SW" in the Index says "MOL" is an Inherent SW, and A7.352 says s SMC that uses a SW loses its IFP.

    Trail Break Using Armored Assault

There's unofficial Q&A saying a stack is attacked with one DR per stack, and since no TEM applies (B28.3) the D9.31+1 TEM doesn't apply. B28.41 If Infantry moving as a stack enter a minefield hex, is the attack resolved as one IFT DR per unit, or as one IFT DR for the stack? A. One per stack...

    Truck CE ?

No, only AFVs may be CE or BU. C5.2-.3* all refer to "AFV Inherent Crew", and D1.2 defines AFV as a vehicle with any armor (D1.6).

Second HASL after RF, need some help.

I dislike city slogs like RB/RO/RF so I'd recommend KGP 1 and 2, Operation Veritable, and Drop Zone SME.

    Chat window text lines

The current implementation of line numbers lets people do a little arithmetic and they can refer to lines relatively, e.g., "In line -8 I missed the rain hindrance, so it was ne and I'm removing the pin." I favor leaving it in. It's easy to ignore, like if you added a couple extra spaces at the...

    Timing of Failure to Rout

I may be misinterpreting your question but "unofficial" means "not published in an ASL Annual, ASL Journal, on MMP's website, or similar source". In this case it was only posted on the ASL Mailing List. A "PerrySez".

    Chat window text lines

This would be great, if the line numbers were saved in the logfile. I often go through ≥1 logfile in one session, and the second one is numbered consecutively after the first. If I were to refer to line 123, it might be line 30 when my opponent steps through the logfile. Because you can't copy...

    KGP Slopes LOS Question

Jim White and I created VASL files with the elevation lines marked, and a series of .jpg files with each level highlighted. See this thread and these resources for them.

    Gun set up

I think "during the normal course of play" would also include (hypothetical) Labor status and extra Crew/HS, for an additional -6 DRM.
