As the article says, the movie and books are essentially the anti-Narnia, so even if it has atheistic themes (and it does, and that intrigues me), it's just as much "selling atheism" than Narnia was "selling Christianity".

That's actually slightly true in some cases; there have been a few reports of Best Buy saving them for Sunday so they can advertise it in the circulars. Most of the time though, the consoles are sold whenever they come in.
