    More chrome

Thinking about this just a bit more. There could be, for example, three separate card decks. One might be interested in none, some, or all of them. A combo OBA draw piles and graphics/basic rules for specific unit types A deck for determining conditions around weather, setup, the status of...

    More chrome

One idea (for this type of visual effect) would be not to take up space on any chits or issue any new sets of chits. Instead there could be a dual purpose set of playing cards. One purpose of of the cards would be as OBA draw piles. At the same time these cards could represent, and visually...

Trail break through a mined building hex.

That is what I was trying to get at.

Trail break through a mined building hex.

You can't do it using bypass. But I think you can do it by risking a bog and risking falling into a cellar, by entering the building obstacle itself.

    Residual In Own Hex

    Yes it does.

Anyone ever purchase the PSW 222 in Red Barricades?

Use the PSW 222's for their firepower if you are really concerned about HIP OBA Observers, Mortar spotters, and MG nests on the rooftops. They can go through wire, gullies, hedges, and entrenchments to strip a lot of infantry concealment (presummably ahead of an infantry attack). In these cases...

    Dug-In Tank...

From what we know now (see below), the above is possible but the Goliath would first have to be manhandled out from under the trench before it could be moved under its own movement capability.

    Dug-In Tank...

Let me rephrase what I was trying to explain. An SSR is not needed to define an AFV's armament, turret type, and AF. It certainly could define and/or modify those already given by the OB-given counter and the vehicle notes, and the various other setup requirements typical given on a scenario...

    Dug-In Tank...

The original question was about placing a tank (I thought not necessarily an immobile one) under a trench, compared to Digging in a tank (making it immobile). In an attempt to answer that question a hornet's nest was opened, raising all the various considerations of this question, of this...

    RB3 Bread Factory #2 AAR

Sure can see both levels of F42. Just can't see the base level of G41. And H41, etc...

    Dug-In Tank...

Sure. I thought of that. But a Dug In AFV's armament, turret type, and AF are (as far as I know) defined not by any SSR, but by the AFV's counter and special vehicle notes. So, h'mm. Not sure. I think may scenarios give AFV's as reinforcements rather than in the at start OB. Maybe to preclude...

    Dug-In Tank...

Correction/addition to the above: B27.51 states that no 5/8" vehicle (actually no 5/8" counter) may be removed from beneath a trench counter during play (with one exception, a dm 5/8" mortar). So only a vehicle represented by a 1/2" counter could move from there.

    Dug-In Tank...

I don't think so. Please see B27.52 which clearly states no vehicle under a trench may expend a start MP, or change its VCA. I suppose if set up "in Motion" it may exit the trench as long as it does not change its VCA in the trench. But that is a bit weird. It is unclear to me whether a Motion...

    Dug-In Tank...

H'mm.. Interesting. Both Dug-In tanks (AFV), and tanks (AFVs) setup under a trench counter (but see below?!) would be hull down (HD) to direct fire. In neither case may the AFV turn its VCA. The Dug In AFV gets to be a small target. The one under a trench does not. Apparently no SSR is...

    ASL Speed Run: Hill 621

The issue, at least for me, with "fast play", is that the rules for ASL, and the various allowed actions, are far, far more numerous than, say, a game chess. Of course chess is often played with chess clocks. ASL? No one masters the game of chess. No human at least. ASL? The faster the play...

    RB3 Bread Factory #2 AAR

FWIW the Germans cannot setup in C43. (Making the ground level of G41 invulnerable on the first prep fire phase, and therefore an important strongpoint.) Unless I am mistaken.

    RB6 Turned Away AAR

He probably means a German win. Great scenario. One of the classics.

    Marco Polo Bridge

These comments remind of an idea I had of posting a thread for discussion about if, or not, the concept of ASL is becoming (or has become) bifurcated (or trifucated). And if so, would that be (or is it) a good thing, or not. So I will wait just a bit before posting that thread, just to see how...

A Few Thoughts on the New, "Pocket" Scenario Concept (I. e., PK1 through PK4)

It does. But my point is not everyone has access to the Q & A. And it would take very little to just reference the relevant rule on the scenario card. Not saying an errata, just a note or clarification, is needed (maybe that's an errata?). And if the scenario is ever reprinted, add the SSR4 I...

A Few Thoughts on the New, "Pocket" Scenario Concept (I. e., PK1 through PK4)

Doesn't seem to be a rule. Instead a Q & A. See "Edit - found an old Q/A.." of Klas. I suppose MMP could publish all currently meaningful Q & A, but that would be an immense task and so far they have not done it. Anyway the idea should be with a pocket scenario is that everything needed is on...
