    SoCal Weekly CG Night

When my brother and I play whoever is playing against the Mudge 7-0 always attempts to kill him!

Been debating doing another VOTG with my brother, keep this thread going, love it!

My games played at the 2025 Winter Offensive

Michael, your comment about winter storms keeping you from driving from Montreal resonates... it's why my brother and I have never attended from Michigan before. 8 hours and a mountain (sort of) range to cross does not instill confidence in winter.

When is enough ASL enough for you?

For me, boards are the only thing that "drives" a purchase anymore. J15 for example.... the articles look cool but more scenarios doesn't move the needle. I don't do a lot of TPP either. But I also have a local resource that still buys almost everything i.e. Brother Neil! SO I can play some of...

    Albany 2024 - DEC 5th to 8th

Gotta move it off my wife's birthday weekend. Besides I'm not good enough to play with you big boys!

    Concealed gun vs concealed target

I agree, the more classic case is you have dummies but it's early in the game and that initial half squad starts running around, I don't need to give away who is real or not so easily...

    Concealed gun vs concealed target

Yeah I never said he was wrong. The dictionary definition of "reveal" is unambiguous even for a lawyer I would hope! Just pointing out a potentially friendlier approach that will slightly speed up the game too. If I was playing someone new, I would likely say "this guy is real, would you like to...

    Concealed gun vs concealed target

Klautky used to do that! "I will show you a boot!" But honestly when we play "This guy is real" is usually sufficient... helps with fog of war and less counter shuffling IMHO.

    RB factory LOS Q

I guess Scott I'd have to look at my physical map. Without zooming in I wondered why you were even asking the question, seemed totally obvious that it was INSIDE the building depiction. Upon magnification, Jim is right by the letter of the law. Only the thread and my 56 year old eyes could say.

    RB factory LOS Q

Jim, my first look at the pic as posted was no it doesn't leave the depiction, but zooming in are you saying that concave cutout at the corner of the building makes it go outside?

    FFS Smith's Ridge CG

As to play, map is lovely, NK options are fairly limited. Once you lose your long range weapons you're screwed. SOunds like Roger experienced the complete removal of his and gave up while I survived the planes (damaged 2 with SEAD) and even remanned a MTR I lost early in the end game. So I...

    Grudge Rules as Tournament Rules

My brother and I use the dice of the home we are playing at (we alternate fairly regularly per CG). My brother will swear in court both sets know who is rolling them! :-)

ASLOk Picnic Pics would be appreciated

Why does Mudge never age? He's looked like that since I first laid eyes on him in the 90s

Agreed, I've lost a MTR and 45LL to 6 repair drs

    FFS Smith's Ridge CG

He's not running on banks unless he's beyond 16 range so he remains concealed... 45LL at range starts at like a 4 to hit (red, LL but < 57). I spent the first two turns bitching about how useless they were and than got some good results on this last turn.

My one OBA is in a prime spot but would need an extra draw to go off, 4B2R... might have to go for it

    FFS Smith's Ridge CG

I will admit to a dozen or more 4s.... :-) And he is rolling more 1,1 than me but as I've tried to get him to realize for years sometimes 1,1 hurts :)

While I agree that this makes sense from a reality standpoint, from a gaming aspect it might be too powerful. Oh you've played the OBA concealment game perfectly? Too bad!! HDPs are known!!! Bye Bye (or be blinded)

    FFS Smith's Ridge CG

The problems that I think I see (especially since I have done some of what you say) Any guns purchased MUST be setup on the HDPs, which oh by the way, don't require extra OBA chit draws. Once they lose concealment on those limited setup positions the planes can start to kill one per turn IMHO...

    FFS Smith's Ridge CG

This is the most vulnerable the marines will be but to shoot you have to come on board and expose yourself to 3 OBAs, and 6-8 planes??? Really?
