    Grudge Rules as Tournament Rules

This discussion has prompted me to think about modifying the CASLO tournament special rule regarding OBA, which is basically the Pleva OBA rule. The TSR states that players "must use it", but I can see changing the TSR to "may use it".

    Grudge Rules as Tournament Rules

Whoever specified that rule thought those dice were very unbalanced, I believe.

    Grudge Rules as Tournament Rules

There is a list of Tournament SSR for the New York State Championship. I remember some tournament somewhere specifying “no Schwerpunkt dice”.

Maps for walled village/town in Italy?

The core rules have nothing about breaching walls because they are easily crossed by a lot of units (infantry, tanks). Ortona (not yet released) has a terrain feature called High Stone Walls that are not traversable by any units. Breaching is possible with these. I will look up the details and...

D6.24 Bailing Out and D15.53 Motorcycle Target Status

The rules that you quoted seem to ignore that a LMG could be mounted on a sidecar, as well as carried by a rider.

    ASL license plates

The province of Québec only recently started allowing personalized licence plates. I couldn’t believe the price when I looked into it. It was something like one hundred dollars to have the plate made and then an annual fee of about fifty dollars to keep it. I love ASL, but licence plates, not so...

    ASL commitment

I’ve been playing since 1990. Most years I had one session per week until I retired in 2012; since then I average 2 or 3 sessions each week on VASL, lasting 3 or 3.5 hours. I’ve been going to at least one tournament a year since 1991. I did it to learn at first, then to try to win and then just...

    ASL Maxims

There is an article in an issue of Banzai that explains it well. Volume 5 number 2. I keep a scan of that article handy.

    VASL Scenario Info Window

In the same window that you enter the SAN values, you also enter who moves first, Allied or Axis. I presume that tells VASL which dice are Axis or Allied. It might also be using the Phase Wheel if present, or the turn marker. Edit: My post was in error; see Doug’s post below.
