Just finished The Reality Dysfunction Part I. And you're quite correct, there is a ton of graphic sex and violence. In fact, I think there is a lot more sex (much of it sadistic and cruel) than sci-fi battles or action.
He's got some interesting ideas, but I'm not sure whether I want to read any more of stuff or not. I would rather have more sci-fi and less fooling around. He also has an annoying habit of jumping around with very little explanation where the story is headed.
Approach this series with caution.
