Hi folks. Unfortunately for everybody, I am the actual TD.
Finish times will be pretty closely adhered to. Always 2300 CDT.
That's so I can determine the next round's pairings ASAP and get them out to participants, hopefully within an hour (if there are no adjudications).
If I get the fresh pairings out within an hour or so (midnight here in Winnipeg), participants can then arrange some time other than 8 or 9 hours later to start, IF THEY BOTH AGREE.
Otherwise, they'd both better be around VASL at 9 am.
The Minis will be easier, because you'll know in advance who you'll face in each round.
But, if a pair of players cannot find a time they can both agree on, who's in the VASL room at 9 am that day will matter.
I really hope I don't have to police any of this stuff.
The CASLO is based on Winnipeg time, and only you know how relevant that is to your life.
Your registration, I presume, is predicated on your availability within these constraints.
The first 3 rounds of the main tournament are each a week long. There will (probably) be no attendance-checking at 9 am on the first day of these rounds. We're all (mostly) adults.
Good luck to all, and may the registrations continue!
Last I heard, we're up to 40!

PS: I buried the lede. Updated CASLO XXV tournament rules should be on the canadianasl.org web site tomorrow or Sunday.
