Anybody here regularly use optional rules?
If so, which ones? Experience?

That's not really an optional rule, it's a made-up house rule (but I can see its benefit and used it myself).extra rof die. Not as annoying as one might think and a much more reasonable set of outcomes.
good point! That's not really an optional rule
A different 3rd dice is rolled for ROF weapons. I like it because I’m kinda sick of ROF slaughters and with this system you could possibly wiff a roll yet get a ROF. It kinda smooths out the bell curve and might be a good idea to use during playtests. I like to use a smaller red dice so it sticks out and associate ‘red’ with ‘rate’.Can you explain the extra rof die home rule?
Agree on Interrogation (both parts).Apart from that, i would like Interrogation rules to be standard, but since they are not, i am not using them.
Battlefield integrity rules are too cumbersome.
If you are using house rules for playtests, you are tuning the scenarios to the use of the same house rules. I'd rather have them marked as SSRs.A different 3rd dice is rolled for ROF weapons. Miguel has previously laid this out quite convincingly. 'Worth the pain' for sure in my eyes.Advantage from using the ROF die are clearly a lot more than any possible issue..
That's one we use, too. You just announce there is a real unit under the ?, no need to "prove" it.
- No temporary revelation of a unit to "prove" being real for Concealment-stripping purposes (bit more fog of war)
I use this when neither / either side have been given any OB "?" aka The unit has to be realNo temporary revelation of a unit to "prove" being real for Concealment-stripping purposes (bit more fog of war)
Seems like most any scenario can be won or lost by extreme good/bad luck. Same is true with a ROF dice, it just takes away some extreme good luck and extreme bad luck, perhaps a better look at an ‘average’ playtest play-thoughIf you are using house rules for playtests, you are tuning the scenarios to the use of the same house rules.
