I'm not interested in letting Zoom come anywhere near my PC.
Hi Bruce, i have decided to make ZOOM optional, as you are not the only one who has concerns about its use.
Will try
I hope you are still interested in joining us

Cheers

What was the impact of going virtual on attendance?
Are new players competing or it's still the usual players from the physical event?

We had some additional players who would have found it expensive/difficult to attend if there were no travel restrictions. Otherwise I would say it was the "usual crowd" (including a couple of regular interstate attendees). If it had been a regular ftf tournament the total attendance would almost certainly have been less.

Participation by local Melbourne players was (as has been true, sadly, for several years now) pretty poor aside from the small core group.

Dear Bruce

I apologise - I am one of those poor showings - I really tried this time since had the ability to be online but workload exploded Friday night and really saw only the end of Saturday and mid afternoon Sunday so thought It was useless again to annoy people by my presence - I will need to get out of Melbourne and get a job in a little place to have a weekend free even when it online I think!

Glad it worked out OK and thanks to Joe

Cheers

Rob :)

It is what it is, Rob. I wasn't pointing fingers at anyone in particular. People have moved or just developed other interests.
