Hatten in Flames - abandoned enemy equipment within your perimeter

So I left some Baz 45s behind (not intentionally) within my opponent’s perimeter at the end of day 1 in the Hatten campaign. They aren't possessed. My understanding is that (1) per 3.6072 they all go to the retained equipment area, but because they are “captured weapons” they will (2) be destroyed per 3.6135. Does this sound right?
