haven't played it but

I think it looks great. I don't think there's an ASL conversion.

Perhaps you should contact MMP or the article's author and do the conversion yourself. I volunteer to help you playtest it.

yo

I tried playing it 1-2 years ago using the SL-GI rules, and it was totally NOT playtested for those rules. There needed to be a few rules re: when the defending units "woke up".

MY opponent and I both agreed that it would far better in ASL, where there are better rules for searching and moving into enemy-occupied locations.

The main problem was, I think, that the commandos could move through german territory undetected and spend 10-12 turns discovering the enemy's exact location, without any risk of attack. Then they could initiate the attack from whenever and wherever they chose.

I think the commando CG could be very cool, just needs a few simple fixes.

Let us know how you progress with playtesting this one!

30 Turns no action

I can't remember the source, but I think I read of this before. Someone
who had played this Commando Campaign, noted that there is a LONG
stretch of turns whene the CDOs are moving around and the Germans
can do nothing since they're beyond the "NVR" equivalent described in the
campaign.

I'll do a google search on this campaing and see what comes up.
