Looking into the purchase of a counter clipper. Any suggestions? Best size?

2.5mm Oregon Lamination Clipper is by far the best for all counter sizes. IMO obviously.

Toenail clippers. Nothing like the classics.

ETA...DON"T CLIP!!!!!!!! I'm sorry I ever started. Now I have to do them all. Way more work than it's worth. In my defense I started when there were only a few modules out.

My brother has started clipping our counters. I refuse to do so, so we now have both clipped and unclipped counters in play at the same time. UUUGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
He says he will eventually get to them all, in about 2050. LOL

BTW, he just uses toenail clippers as well. Why spend good money for something that's no better than a .25c item.

No offense to your brother or your powers of observation, but I've never once in my life seen counters clipped with toenail clippers that I didn't think to myself "Wow, those don't look good at all. It looks like they were done with toenail clippers." So I guess that's why you spend good money on something or you do it and it looks like you used a 25 cent item (as if toenail clippers actually cost 25 cents) to do it. Why spend $100 plus on the newest module and then clip them half assed with toenail clippers?

Clubby has it right but make sure you get the deluxe one - a big improvement over the first one as its lighter and the counters cannot be lined up wrongly. Personal opinion bit I think the 2 mm cut looks better than the 2.5 mm cut, certainly on 1/2" counters.

I agree with these two. I bought the 2mm, and am happy with it for both 1/2 inch and 5/8 counters. YMMV.

For years I have used a scalpel with #20 blade, worked great. But I have been developing pain in hands (Old Fart). Bought the 2.5mm Oregon this AM. Thanks to all.

2.5 mm deluxe cutter from Oregon Laminations, believe me it is the best on the market, and I have clipped a few counters to be able to say this.

With all my ASL stuff I have over 30000 counters.................., and my other games.........easily another 30000 or more. I would be collecting my old age pension and even then would not be done.............sorry have fun though)

I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility that many of us own the equivalent of 30000 counters or more. I own just about everything ever published with counters both core and most third parties including HoB, BFP, LFT and even some CH. The only thing I don't own that one could consider official is Blood Reef Tarawa.

I bought the 2mm deluxe one made of plastic and after 1 and a half sets of counters it broke. It worked great up until then. They replaced it with the heavy duty metal one and it seems to work well also. I don't think this one will ever brake.

I've done probably at least 20,000 counters with the one made of high impact ABS, or plastic as it's known and it still works pretty good although I think the cutting die could probably stand to be replaced as it's dulled a bit.

My 2mm has done well over 170,000 1/2" and still cuts ok. The 3m over 55,000 5/8", that's just the ASL counters then there are my SFB counters and GboAHalong with other stand alone games I have clipped as well.
