Well I have reached the end of March and the French are about to crack. Pulled back the Panzer and motorised corps over the Winter to resupply and then piledrived them into the French lines north and south of Sedan. Its paying off but the cost has been high.
Also the TO for Case Yellow has...
Well I intend to keep on going Solitaire cause I'm finding it highly enjoyable!
Looks like the French don't have much if any replacements coming on tap and as they have just about thrown everything they have into the Frontline their room for manuevre is pretty limited.
Should...
Here is how it all started...

IIRC the remaining Polish units went AWOL after the Germans took Warsaw.
I let the AI handle the odd turn or so as the Allies so the Soviets were none too agressive prior to the fall of Warsaw.
Mark:
I started playing this out solitaire (mostly) and today being off work must have spent 3 or 4 hours at it.
This is the original one IIRC incl. in TOAW III.
Now on turn 27 (end of 1939).
Nothing odd really except some Polish units did not disband and are now in low supply on the...
OK anybody fancy a game?
Would prefer to play the Germans but don't mind too much.
2/3 turns per week would suit me. Only ask that we play it through - not interested in a half finished game (had too many of those in PBEM!).
well Mark I did that and the scenario opens fine!
Trouble is when I open in the 19C Database the game loads with the modern symbols like a normal COW game.
Also many units, esp Spanish ones are 'Invisible'!
Like you can move them, trace the movement path and all but they are...
Thanks Mark.
Downloaded your game file, read the background info (excellent!) but can't open the game file!
I discovered this after downloading it into the zip scenarios file then copying it to transfer it into the scenarios file itself. But when I went to find it like it was not...
Looks Ace Mark!
Wasn't there a boardgame called 'A Mighty Fortress' back in the 1970's that covered this period?
Where can I download this game from BTW?
I would love to play it again but in the middle of Piero's WWI Monster right now + a couple of others.
Will give it another go for sure but it's way down the line for a good while yet...
Piero:
I have Jackson's 'Attack in the West' which I am just finishing, also 'The Road to Rivoli' which I have not read yet.
I was in that part of the world in late September, around Lake Garda.

Just got a return this evening on that file reporting it couldn't be sent! :o
As in:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host by that name. (#4.1.2)
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.
It said.
OK
I have sent you my .SAL file.
I havn't noticed any bugs but I'm not usually a nit picker in COW once I'm enjoying myself. :cheeky:
I really love this scenario though as it's a real mind bender making sure you balance your forces to cover the possibility that a Front does not...
