How To Quote Less In Replies

I've seen the 'QR behaves exactly like Quote' issue on another forum using similar software to this one, with the Mozilla FireFox browser. I remember it worked correctly using IE though so it's probably a standards issue. Regards 33

Check out http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=588530 for an example of how a game that is not turn-based nor pbem can still provide fertile ground for an outstanding AAR replete with lengthy and interesting text, and screenshots :D The only aspect of Close Combat that seemed really...

Game in Development: Conquest of the Aegean

It is based on the same engine but with additional features added and improvements to terrain and AI, so it should play at least as well as HTTR. As far as due date, it'll be released when it's ready, so probably another few months. Regards 33

Game in Development: Conquest of the Aegean

This shot, from a couple of hours later, shows what I mean when I say the battle is far from over: Notes: 1. This shot shows a handy interface feature - you can toggle the icons to a smaller size to make the map easier to read. 2. The green outline on the objective marker in the middle of...

Game in Development: Conquest of the Aegean

I wanted to post this one because I think it's cool . This is a what-if scenario from the game I'm working on, Airborne Assault: Conquest of the Aegean, which is a pausable-continuous-time operational simulation of the campaign in Greece in 1940 and 1941. There are some links to further...

    the best FPS

Yes. Damn shame that my new system doesn't seem to run it properly - although the framerate is fine (40-60) the view 'shakes' during movement or panning, some kind of 3D translation bug I imagine. Real pain since I specifically bought the biggest nastiest system I could afford, little...

The best maps in a wargame

I'm just downloading the demo for ATF now, to have a look at it. I notice on the ProSIM website that Pat Proctor has this to say about the game: This is a pretty significant difference to HTTR, where we typically have corps- or at least division-level forces. Simulation at this level can be...
