Do the special DVP calculations apply to typically non-Desert equipment in a scenario using DVP? e.g., Landing craft (say a seaborne evacuation from the Sahara), aircraft, etc? Or do they only apply to ground vehicles and guns? I'm thinking the latter, but I'm not sure.

Only Vehicle/Guns (not aricraft) have a "special" DVP value. I think an argument could be made that Landing Craft do have a DVP.
