updating VASL

Really sorry guys, in the past i've managed to update VASL but i'm having real trouble this time.

VASL 661 says to upgrade to VASSAL3.4.6. I've deleted my old VASL from my mac, downloaded VASSAL3.4.6 and installed it. When i open the program it says 3.4.6 in the title of the program, but shows as VASSAL version 3.2.14 in the header - seems inconsistent to me.

I try to open the 3.2.14 but it says to download 3.4.6 (which i think i've already done as per above paragraph). I end up in a loop. Any ideas?

I've downloaded VASL661 too but double clicking on it does nothing

The header displays what VASSAL version you have installed. The one next to the VASL module displays the minimum VASSAL version required to run that version of VASL.

So you are running VASSAL v3.4.6.
For VASL v6.3.3 the minimum VASSAL version required is v3.2.17.

Note, though, that VASL v6.3.3 will not run with any more with VASSAL versions post v3.2.x (so I seem to recall). At the same time it is possible to open a VASL v6.3.3 file (.vasv) with the current VASSAL & VASL combo of v3.4.13 & v6.6.1.

To your information:
For VASL v6.6.1 the minimum VASSAL version required is v3.4.6

The current version of VASSAL is v3.4.13 (as of 28. January 2021)

Try opening the vassal window. Then select the vasl mod and double click or right-click then select open.
