Here is a photo of the counters from Magach '73. In the top right hand corner is the T-54A counters. Why do they have a BMG of 6 FP when the T-54B and T-55A don't?

Interesting photo. The 6 bow mg was a rigid mount 7.62mm next to the driver, firing through a hole in the glacis. As far as I know the Soviets did away with it when they started T-55 production circa '58.

I guess there are in fact T-54-1, which had 1 fixed MG on each fender.
Don't know why there are there.
Hmm, T-54-1 might explain the 6fp, but from what little I've read the Egyptians started receiving the T-54, with the T-54-2 being the earliest model in their inventory, sometime in the early '60s. Like you I'm curious.

What would the frontal AF be for a T-10? CH give it a squared 26. Is that likely to be right?

This might interest those of you who play the Arab/Israeli stuff or do their own post war scenarios/CGs. The series carries on into the 70's and there is a further one planned up to the 90's.
