I thought I would take advantage of the Veteran's Day sale and purchase some of the Winter Offensive packs as well as AP13 and Journal 12. I also wanted board 46. So I put everything in my cart and went to checkout. US$67 postage! Sorry can't come at that. Wound back my order to the Journal, the AP and the Board. Still US$27 postage. I don't see how the postage can vary so dramatically when the size and weight of the package doesn't increase that much. Up-shot is I purchase less product I suppose.

You are not the only one who has noted excessive shipment cost.

I think that the shipment cost is calculated as if every product were shipped indivdually and may be actually lower so that you might be billed less. If this is so, this leaves the problem, that you don't know what the final shipment cost will be.

Maybe it would be a good idea to fix this in the ordering process if it can be fixed, because apparently this is losing MMP some buisness.

That said, it is of course not MMP's fault that postage charges for shipments from the US are excessive. The same package to the US from abroad usually costs but a fraction.

Wow!
So apparently shipping costs for my order (destination: west coast of the U.S. and the same number of items btw) is actually $2 more than shipment to Australia.

Way to go MMP! I have just responded to your business model by cancelling my pre-order for FKaC and have ordered it from Ritterkrieg instead... and I saved $23 too!

I know the pain! If you can find a few local ASL fans and buy collectively, you can make a saving! Doesn't fix the issue but does lessen the pain.

Yup, have gone to Alex Key's Games & Hobbies as well. May have a bit of wait until he receives newer material (not much though) and he has great prices, uses USPS (decent shipping times and costs at least to here) with 2 options for shipping (insurance) as well as always packs in a special surprise with every order. I would attach a product price list but I believe that's not allowed.

If I pre-order Rising Sun from MMP I am quoted US$85.40 postage. To pre-order from Ritterkrieg is US$50 postage. Why the $35 discrepancy?

I think the US$50 postage from Ritterkrieg is just a placeholder when you pre-order: I received the same postage figure when I pre-ordered CdG and DASL Redux, but when it was actually ready to send the postage went up, to about the MMP figure IIRC. No criticism of Ritterkrieg intended BTW, plus they were sent as covid was kicking into full swing so maybe that increased international freight costs (and they spent three months (!) kicking around in a warehouse at Miami International Airport waiting for a flight out, but that's another story). Ah, the joys of buying ASL from Australia.

It is homemade? If not, where to buy?, please
These items are made in small batches by an ASL player. Chuck Tewksbury is handling the selling of the batches. Mine was 45 USD, IIRC. Chuck’s email is chuck-dot-tewksbury-at-gmail-dot-com.

My wife just ordered CH Tarawa for my Christmas present, and she used the coupon code.
Will post pics of Hobart Funnies and German Rarities when they arrive.

I just went retro and bought CH's Afrika Korps countersheets A and B. What the hell... they are better looking, and may get some use if the new HL release inspires some players to play a little more DTO.
In addition, ordered all the PTO sheets from Broken Ground...gives me the full collection now. Go counterporn!
