SSR1 says "Grain depictions on the G5 and G2 overlays represent Level 2 Hill hexes." Do they represent open ground hill hexes or hill hexes with grain on them - kunai really since this is a PTO scenario?

I imagine the grain is not in effect, but instead the grain depictions are the outlines of the Level 2 hills (Open Ground).

I think it is ambiguous, do not know designer's intention.

There is a two hex hill overlay with crest lines.

I would think he would use that overlay if he intended the level-2 overlay to be open ground, not grain. It is an important question as there are two 81mm Mtrs which can HIP in grain.
