Need a little help with hexes in factories such as RO N22 where the artwork shows a "roofless" factory due to damage but the center dot of the hex lies on the undamaged roof section.

  1. Is this a roofed or roofless factory hex?
  2. Can a small mortar shoot through this roof?
  3. Who can see what from each of the six sides from the surrounding roof hexes related to a unit in the ground level debris?
  4. Can a unit be positioned on the roof of this "roofless" appearing factory hex?
  5. How does this type of roof affect incoming artillery fire?

If you are talking about a hex such as RO N22, B.1 covers this as the dominant terrain feature within the hex is a roofless factory with ground level debris assumed throughout the hex {See also O5.43}; that hex would be considered a roofless factory hex regardless of the roof depiction in other portions of that building within the hex (O5.4). In as much as the hex is considered a roofless factory hex in its entirety regardless of the partial roofed depiction, a mortar may fire from within the structure with only the normal imitations to its fire (e.g. spotted fire, range, LOS obstacles/hindrances, ROF, etc.) (O5.45). Incoming indirect fire, and direct fire traced from a higher elevation that has a clear LOS/LOF to the mortar on ground level without being effected by the building, would only receive the +1 (interior) Factory TEM & +1 Debris TEM (O5.41). For LOS/LOF ability/restrictions see EX and description on pg O5 RF.

OK, thanks, and so the answer to my question 4 you say would be No?
