CtR-21 - The Gates of Hell - terrain question

SSR 1 says "All Level 1 hill hexes are the beach (Level -1). Any terrain in those hexes (i.e. Jungle) does exist." Does the road exist and if not is the clearing through jungle hexes E3, D3, C4 a path?

C:tR HBR 1a - "Geoboard scenarios - PTO is in effect......" . Barring a note stating otherwise, whenever PTO is in effect roads do not exist, and all brush/roads and woods/roads become Paths. Hope that helps.

Recommendation is to use the transformed map you can download from the BFP Download page (and also noted on the scenario card).
