The tourney is for ASL and SK...the two players have to agree on the scenario to be played. I assume they will agree on whether they want to play ASL or SK. Also, these are suggestions from Randy for the list, this is not the final list I will be using.

Also, as noted in post #4, the list will be as an aid and not a mandatory, exclusive list. The participants can use a scenario from the list or pick something not on the list.

Based on your concern can I assume you plan on attending?
What time do the rounds start each day? Very tempted to make the trek...

This is a casual tourney...Friday night rounds will start when players arrive and matchup. Saturday morning and evening the same. The main element is that to be considered in the tourney a play has to play 3 different players. If required I will play anyone who doesn't have a matchup, it will count as one of their games even though I am not in the tourney.

Ok, I see how it works...there is ultimate veto power...what happens when one person says no SK and the other says no ASL....?
Well, they have to play at least 3 matches to be considered for any prizes (i.e., to be in the tourney). I think it will take care of itself.

Of course you organise your event as you see fit, but i would encourage you setting times for the start of each round, so that it becomes easier for players to meet at the same time and find a match. This is especially important for the first round so that you know who is in. Jmo, ymmv

Is anyone from the Cleveland OH area considering this tourney? I am most likely coming down from Vermont and I am looking for a way point about half way through the 18hr drive.

Rob
Rob, I cannot go to Nashcon as I should be busy with my home remodeling and will just be coming off three tourneys the previous four weeks. However, if you would like to make a pit stop here in Cleveland and maybe get a warmup game in with me, you could surely crash at my place to break up your drive. Let me know. If you're at the Tussle, I can hook up with you there.

Hope we get a game in Rob. I am playing Mark Evans in the first round although you were on my request list.
I'll be looking for a game on Thursday if you are coming in early. Otherwise, maybe we'll meet up in a later round.

Sadly I will be in Bangalore during NashCon this year, which means both myself and my daughter will miss out on the ASLSK (and all other) gaming!! :-(

For those that are interested, I keep a very detailed spreadsheet of every known ASLSK scenario (over 120[!!], with a pack of 5 and another pack of 4 to be released soon and at least another small pack in development) including the ROAR data for them. It is searchable, color-coded, etc. Let me know if anyone wants a copy. Or better yet go join the Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit Facebook group I moderate and download it, and MANY other useful files, from there.

I would recommend you give the Russians the balance if you keep S21 Clash at Borisovka. 60:40 on 93 playings. If you want an official scenario with AFVs for that final round, I recommend S49 Cooks, Clerks, and Bazookas. Very fun and challenging combined arms.

Oh, someone else mentioned Rally Points #2 and 6. RP2 is truly superb, with some interesting and some quite sizable SK scenarios. Only one is really unbalanced. RP6 has mostly bigger and more complex scenarios, including two REALLY big ones (for SK anyway) at 23s+7v vs 11s+3v and 17.5s+4v vs 12s+3v. The pack hasn't seen a lot of play, which is a shame, but the few ROAR results that are in indicate some possible balance issues.

It is time friends...

This weekend is call'd NASHCON. He that outlives this weekend, and comes safe home, will stand a tip-toe when this weekend is nam'd, and rouse him at the name of NASHCON. He that shall live this weekend, and see old age, will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbors, and say "To-morrow is NASHCON." Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, and say "These wounds I had on NASHCON weekend." Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, but he'll remember, with advantages, what feats he did that weekend. This story shall the good man teach his son; and NASHCON shall ne'er go by, from this day to the ending of the world, but we in it shall be remembered

—We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; for he this weekend that sheds cardboard blood with me shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, this weekend shall gentle his condition; and gentle players about the world now a-bed shall think themselves accursed they were not here, and hold their manhood's cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon NASHCON weekend.

Uurah!

I will be using this list this weekend. I have copies of all the scenarios except the Nashorn scenarios, if attendees could bring a copy of any of those three scenarios it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, even though there are scenarios grouped in rounds players are free to mix and match. The caveat being that to be considered in the tourney a player must complete at least 3 rounds against three different players and playing 3 different scenarios.

I plan to be at NASHCON before noon and round one can start at 1pm (after lunch). Players are free to start their subsequent round at anytime as opponents are available. Again the only caveat is 3 rounds, 3 different players, 3 different scenarios.
