Once you've done the export of the entire map, find the file on your computer.
Right click on it and go to "Open With" and choose "Paint" , it should be on your computer as part of the windows install
In Paint go to "Select" and select a square around the area of the board you want and then choose "Crop"
Then "Save As" to save it with whatever name/format you want.
Or [in Windows] you could go to All Programs >accessories and select snipping tool, click on area of map you want saved and save that image. I have found that it will save as a much smaller file than paint.

Wow, that is very handy! In Windows 10 it is the Snip and Sketch app....

It will but it will also be of much lesser resolution, which might be OK but also might not, just something to keep in mind.
If you are snipping your zoomed in view it shouldn't be an issue.

Snipping doesn't produce something as a lower resolution. It may be of lower quality depending on how it compresses images.

Alternatively, you can always use the [Print Screen] button on your keyboard, [Ctrl+V] to paste it into Paint, then crop it there.

Second alternative would be to grab a program like Irfanview and use its capabilities to grab a screenshot and then edit it either with Irfanview or some other program.

Then, don't upload it direct to Gamesquad.

There seems to be an issue with the Rileys Road map file. When you load it you get the following:

- Board Rileys is out of date. Updating...
- Update succeeded
- Using board(s): Rileys(vHistory)

That happens every time the board is loaded. Note that it's not reporting the correct version number.

That is the same issue that was recently fixed by JRV for the Suicide Creek Map.

Al Cannamore just uploaded a fix. You should get version 1.6 the next time you open up the map. Thanks to Al.

Board 70 might have the same issue regarding identification:

- Board 70 is out of date. Updating...
- Update succeeded
- Board 70 is out of date. Updating...
- Update succeeded
- Board 70 is out of date. Updating...
- Update succeeded
- Using board(s): 57(v6.0) 70(v6.1) 9a(v6.1)

I see these messages every time that I load a scenario using board 70.

This is a slightly different variation on the theme. In the most recent previous cases, the board .zip file had version lines that were formatted badly. In this case the board .zip file has version 6.0, while the master list (https://github.com/vasl-developers/vasl/blob/develop/boards/v5boardVersions.txt) says it ought to be v6.1. I have filed a bug: https://github.com/vasl-developers/vasl/issues/557

When using HIP for a Japanese HS, the image gets confused with what it seems a full Japanese Squad.

Most (many?) of the counters have this problem. The transparency allows the layers to show through.

My suspicion is that it would a very difficult problem to solve without redesigning all the counters which is why this problem has persisted for so long but I could be wrong.

Hey all,

A couple of things I've noticed from playing through the FB scenarios:

Russian AE and Vanay squads and half-squads are lacking the ability to ELR as part of their HoB sub-menu

Also, just thinking out loud, but might be a cool addition to vehicles to have a vehicle bypass counter added from a shortcut/sub-menu, kind of like how CTRL+O adds a Motion counter.

Thanks,
Dave

Uncanny Dave. ELR lacking AE counters was just being discussed by the cabal. Your ears must’ve been ringing :)

These aren’t the only AE MMCs that are missing this feature. They all should get fixed. I’ll log it.

Good suggestion for the bypass marker shortcut. I’ll log that too.

Allan

I found out the Light Woods transformation does not work for board 23 when I went to play scenario 203 HARD ROK. The scenario uses boards 10 and 23.

To check my understanding...

You’re asking for a pop up type text box with word wrap?

I think so
Have you looked at the Scenario Information window (click "Info" on the toolbar)? Does it meet your needs? If not, what's missing? Aside from word-wrapping?

All,

I'm not sure if this has been logged yet but board 50 is missing the cliff artwork along the K2/L1 hexside.

If someone can provide me with the GIMP file, I'll get it fixed.

Thanks.

Scott.
