I think the filter should limit to those players with exactly 62 playings. Sixty-two is a prime number that was holy to the Mayans, so it must be important.

This is more like it! At first, I thought I'd been purged, but then I discovered that I am the world number one. I think this new system is great.

In the Glicko note Aaron disseminated, it is written: "the Glicko system works best when the number of games in a rating period is moderate, say an average of 5-10 games per player in a rating period".

As the rating period selected was two months, it would mean that it would suit players with around 50 tournament games per year, which is clearly too high for an overwhelming majority of players.

For robustness check purposes, i would suggest to extent the rating period to 6 and 12 months and see whether it makes any difference. One needs to test the algo under different specifications before calling it "open".

to better explain APCR pratically :
could you numerically show what happens when, for example, n° 10 in the list is opposed to n° 100 and he wins/loses?

and could you show what infos are available/visible when one clicks on any name ( tournament plays, when, where, vs who, scenarios and so on) ?

GLICKO works on a block by block rather than a game by game basis, the change in points also depends on the ratings deviation of each player. The calculations can be moved to the degenerate case of a single game but don't then show GLICKO at it's best. I will look to do a matrix though of single game effects over the parameter space Rating (1500,1800,2100), Rating Deviation (50,150,300) these 81 results should give a flavour, of course if someone else wants to do this so I can focus on getting more data in they are most welcome.

I have now found a spreadsheet calculator and so this is easy to do :)

6 to 12 months is too long to really show the individual tournament effect, it will have very little effect on the ratings absolute quantum. You are right that an individual player might not do 60 games a year, but in a single period they might do either 5 (a tournament) or 0 games ( no rating effect but a small increase in ratings deviation). Thus the period fits very well for those doing 3-4 tourneys a year, which is the base.
