I have added all the notes (vehicle and ordnance) and have the German, Russian, American and Japanese Chapter H completed. I am not a savvy computer programmer so how do you add your own image into the scenario? I am sure it is very simple but have not figured it out.

how do you add your own image into the scenario?
There's an explanation in the help, near the bottom of the User Guide tab.

For example, create a new miscellaneous scenario note label, that looks like this:
Code:
This is my scenario image:
<img src="{{USER_FILES}}/hill-621.png">
It's just HTML, so you can include whatever you want, not just the image.

BTW, how are you finding this feature? I've wanted something like this for a long time, but now that I've actually built it, I'm finding it a bit unwieldy in practice if there's a lot of them, because they take up so much space in VASSAL. I think the put-them-in-a-file-and-print-them-out thing will work out well, though...

I like the function and the overall program. I did find that on my last scenario I set up the American Vehicle notes were just to many and large to put them in the VASL set up. I am actually try to set up several scenarios for an upcoming publication and I will be pitching to the owner that it would be great to include the VASL set ups for his subscribers when he sends out the publication electronically. One of the scenarios has purchase charts and I just missed the set up instructions in your user guide...DOH.

Yes, I find myself adding a blank board to the right and bottom of the main boards as a matter of course now... :)

Sounds cool. Including images in a scenario is always going to be problematic, but if he has a web site, he can upload them to there, and then you reference them in your <img> tags. It requires an internet connection when you open the scenario, but that's not completely unreasonable.

Version v0.8 has been released here.

The main new feature is support for BFP's "Blood And Jungle" and "Poland In Flames". Many thanks to everyone who helped out with this, in particular BigNoodle, who did a lot of the work converting the Chapter H tables into a format the program can use.

Other new features include:
  • Vehicles/ordnance can now be marked as Elite.
  • The same vehicle/ordnance can now be added to an OB more than once (e.g. if multiple variants are being used).
  • Changed how Allied/Axis Minor common multi-applicable notes are applied (I think I misunderstood how these worked, so if you've set up Chapter H data for these, you should see the multi-applicable notes change from "unavailable" to the correct content).
Check out the release notes for the full list of changes.

I created an issue in the GitHub repository in regards to running the app in a docker container. Just FYI!

Thanks, replied there.

Hmm... not sure why I didn't get a notification about the issue, I'll look into it. EDIT: It looks like Github has a setting to get email notifications if somebody replies to an issue you're already participating in, but not for new issues, which seems like a fairly dumb way of doing things :-/ I'll set something up to monitor this page.

I really enjoy using the program. I used it to create scenario cards for a Fog of War Sat mini for the Nor'easter tournament, they were well received. I did encounter when creating the scenario cards that there is no Canadian in the nationalities drop down. Just wondering if you release another update if you would be able to add the Canadians?

Good to hear, thanks.

It's certainly possible. What vehicles/ordnance do they use? And what flag?

they use the Maple Leaf.
Are you sure about this? I have a vague memory of Michael Dorosh republishing an article he wrote for AH (?) because they had changed some things, including IIRC, the flag to the Maple Leaf.

Wikipedia also suggests that Canada used this, and the Maple Leaf didn't come into effect until '65.

Do you have a scenario card from MMP or someone "official" that uses the Canadians. I looked at Operation Veritable, but they used the British flag for the Canadian OB, which is likely to upset a Canadian even more than using the Maple Leaf :)

You are correct TPPs use the Maple Leaf, MMP uses Canadian in set up and uses the British Royal Air Force Roundel see Journal #12 ASL Scenario J190 Trial Run.

Sigh... That doesn't really help me decide which flag to use :-(

Do you need them now? It's possible to tweak the program to add new nationalities. The flag won't be there, although it'll automagically appear when you install the next version of the program. The Red Ensign looks like the one we should be using, although I don't think it's going to shrink down very well.

I get notifications for new issues so don’t be so quick to blame GitHub. ;)

I looked pretty closely but only found a setting to be notified for conversations that I'm already in, or somebody @mentions me.

I did a bit of poking around at the time and IIRC, found something that said that things work differently if you're in an organization rather than using one of the free accounts.

I presume you are "Watching" your own repos?

No, I do not need them now. Just noticed it when I was working on a scenario with Canadians. Just wanted you to know so when you decide to release an updated version that you may be able to include it. Thanks.

Yep, although I note that I had to turn it on. Why on earth would you not want to watch your own repo? And how does this setting interact with the "notify me for conversations I'm already in or if I'm @mention'ed" checkbox in the Settings page? Must've been a glitch in the Matrix, although I think there's still plenty of scope for blaming Github :)
