Hi All,

Unit on a stone factory rooftop (L2.5) fires IFP within same hex to factory floor. This is PBF and what is the TEM? 0, +1 or +3?

Thanks!

It would be +1 It is not spelled out in the rules, but that is what is given in the example after B23.743

The example does not spell that out, as what it implies is that because C6 is rubbled a clear LOS exists to the 4-6-7 with no Factory hindrance due to the height differences between the target and the firer. Because a firer on a roof is outside the building, any fire directed by it to a unit at ground level in the same hex would incur the Building TEM the same as if it were in a multi-level building at a higher elevation firing down a stairwell at a unit beneath it.

You're right I missed the rubble counter.

Factory TEM applies to such an attack.

B23.88:
"...A unit at rooftop level in a Factory Rooftop Access Point being attacked by a same-hex ground-level unit receives Height Advantage +1 TEM (23.81), while the ground-level unit receives Factory TEM (and no additional TEM for a Fortified Building Location) if attacked by that Rooftop unit. Both units may use PBF (since they are ADJACENT; A7.21)."

Correct, you need a stairwell - otherwise there is no LOS.
