The other Beethoven symphonies are great, too. I like to put my feet up, relax, and listen to the 6th.Most recently, Beethoven's 9th and the Rachmaninoff Piano Concertos.

Very nice indeed!I've been in a progressive rock phase for 40 years. I recently discovered Porcupine Tree and it's front man, Steven Wilson. Really enjoying all of this.

It's interesting that both guitar players play Ricks. Our band like to slip an occasional cover into our setlists....we're learning this one so I'm listening to it right now and tapping away on my electric drums with it.

Side from the tiny collection of classical LPs I had acquired by my mid 20s, my first real venture into real classical (in this case technically baroque) music was borrowing a beautiful set of 7 LPs from the local library. Trevor Pinnock and the English Concert playing the Bach harpsichord concertos for 1, 2 , 3 and 4 harpsichords in the authentic style. I made tapes as I was pretty broke and I played them for years. Later I was quick to acquire the CDs.
By now I have a huge collection of classical and baroque music on CD - hundreds and hundreds of discs - but this "first love" keeps me coming back. I bought a second set for the car.

Weller loved the sound of them. Long history of the Jam using them. It's interesting that both guitar players play Ricks.
i agree that is nice. Though I tend to prefer my Bach on the piano, ahistorical as it may be! If Helene Grimaud's Bach album is still available, it is a great version of this concerto... along with a lot of solo piano.Side from the tiny collection of classical LPs I had acquired by my mid 20s, my first real venture into real classical (in this case technically baroque) music was borrowing a beautiful set of 7 LPs from the local library.
