Re: Uneeda Medical Supplies

I think once the walkers were past the barn it was all over. There were too many. There were some other things they could have done BEFORE the horde showed up.

Dig a large, deep trench with the fence on the farm side of it, and make sure it had a vertical slope on the close side so once walkers fell in they couldn't get out. Toss some old logs in the bottom, and when it got full just throw some diesel or kerosene on them and have a barbecue.

Dig some traps like this near the highway and play some rock music in the bottom. Once again, pour light, and ta-da! That could have thinned out any potential "joiners" when the herd from Atlanta showed up.

Those are great ideas for zombie traps.. but from a tv show angle I don't think they want zombies to become easy to control.. I expect the prison fence will be used, but I don't expect them to "build" extra defenses.

IIRC in the comics they invent some devices to kill zombies through the fence around the prison.

Re: Uneeda Medical Supplies

I was telling someone three months ago about zombies that a prison is perfect because it has layers of security to prevent breaking out as well as breaking in. I always wondered why they didn't add a chain link fence cemented near the inside wood fence immediate closest to the farm house-the materials are in the town that they always went into for supplies. Then take steel/wood long spears and just stab the zombies through the chain link fence. Also, if the fence fails they could have done this with the farm house after they boarded it up. They also could have added a tunnel under or above ground that runs out of the house if it should fall where all the zombies are focused on the house. Sound devices could be used to draw the zombies away from the house as well. They bailed on the house too fast, but they didn't prepare all the preventive ideas that existed for it-because that makes good TV drama.

Bad news we have to wait till fall for it come back...

Good News ......Game of Thrones starts again April 1 which should tide us over.

Mad Men is more about the 60's and the culture of those times. Watching the show has brought back many memories. Reading newspapers during those times it was strarnge to see a couple being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. John Smith. Women had no identities back then and men ruled the roost.

It's an excellent show and I buy the DVD for the next season as soon as it's available.

I spent the whole day that story broke freaking out my wife with comments like that. Good times!
My teenage daughter told her younger brother that story for bedtime and FREAKED him out. Needless to say she caught hell from her mother the next morning.

Ha,ha!!

Re: Uneeda Medical Supplies

The CDC felt the need to respond and say there is no zombie outbreak in Florida. Huh?!? Why would they do that unless ....

A spate of bizarre acts of cannibalism in the last week have many people wondering whether to be afraid for their own flesh. The populous' collective curiosity has even driven "zombie apocalypse" up to the No. 2 spot on Google's list of trending search terms. But don't worry: according to government scientists, the zombies are not coming for you.

The flesh-eating living dead don't actually exist, said a spokesman for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). "CDC does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead (or one that would present zombie-like symptoms)," agency spokesman David Daigle told The Huffington Post.

But what prompted the official reassurance?

The questions started after an attack in Miami on Saturday, when Rudy Eugene, 31, was shot and killed by police while hungrily devouring the face of a homeless man. Eugene, who may have been high on "bath salts " at the time of his vicious attack, seemed impervious to the bullets entering his naked body until the moment he collapsed, police said.

Then, on Tuesday, Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old student in Maryland, admitted to murdering his roommate and then eating his heart and parts of his brain. The cannibal's motives have not been explained. [Video: '5 Things I Learned from Living with Cannibals']

Meanwhile, Canadian police are seeking Luka Rocco Magnotta, a low-budget porn actor who allegedly killed and dismembered a young man, and then ate flesh from the corpse. He packaged and mailed other body parts to political offices in Ottawa.

Okay, zombies may not really exist, but clearly the world has troubles enough as it is.

I got the same funny feeling watching Johnny Carson infomercials and watching people like Dean Martin and George Goebel drinking mixed drinks and smoking on stage.

I got a great idea for a new show...

How about a 1960's ad agency run by zombies!!! We could call it "Walking Mad"!!!
