If anyone's going to Heroes they can always just buy Shaun a beer and get the info out of him :)

Is Shaun working on Kohima with HOB? If so let us know what he says.

Honza,

I didn't get much of a chance to talk to Shaun, but apparently the map is being re-done, so it will probably be a while yet.
Don't ask me to expand because I really don't know more than that.

I would be interested about how the tennis court will be drawn.
Will there be rules for HtH CC using rackets?

I'm very interested in this campaign (loved OCS Burma game too).
Let's hope they don't produce another cop out like backprinted counters or wrong maps...

I can almost hear Steve Dethlefsen scream when he reads that....
You reap what you sow - if they don't want to be remembered for things like that then you shouldn't put them out there in the first place. I love my HOB products but I've learned two things:

1] ALWAYS order from someone like Noble Knight or Gamer's Amory. HOB's track record with following up on customer issues is lacking.

2] Wait for the product to come out and see if there are any issues. I thought of preordering the magazine with the counters and was glad that I didn't. If I drop that much money on a magazine I expect better than botched counters and the subsequent response to that issue.

Are we sure HOB is still making new products?

Wait a second, HOB took the high ground on this one, yea, they had to reprint the counters, and we did have to pay for them, still, it was handled in a timely and appropriate manner.

Should they have released the product then, perhaps not, but, they had tried getting the printers to correct it, and we, at least a fair number of posters here, implied we wanted the product released.

We can hold it against them, but then we should, and have to, acknowledge our role.

Although I was somewhat disappointed with the RBF 4 counters, having been forewarned, I accepted the situation and bought (2 sets of) the replacement counters when they became available. I accepted there is only so much that a small company can 'eat' in terms of cost and decided to continue to support them.

HoB's Special Forces 1 module (same time frame as RBF 4) was so good I got a second copy. Some on the other hand might not like the high gloss counters.

I also got the 2nd Kreta map, when it became available as I prefer non-glossy. It also means I have a spare for the inevitable coffee or cat event.

Overall I have been impressed by the physical quality of HoB's components (Fortress Casino, Berlin: Red Vengance, the original 2 SS packs, Onslaught to Orsha, Special Forces, Kreta and replacement RBF 4 counters), the one exception (original RBF 4 counters) being due to events outside their control.

The map was being redone 3 years ago at Heroes based on some new aerial photos. Much polishing......

Is HOB still doing stuff anyway?
