How often do you visit the TOAW HQ page (http://www.warfarehq.com/index.php?page=toaw/toaw_news.php)?
I visit the forum on a daily basis, and check out the rest of the site maybe once a month.

ditto wolfditto for me too!
I've started looking around the main WFHQ site lately ... and there is a LOT of information out there. I wondered how often others visit the actual website and how to advertise what is available better.

I would like to suggest few things - you made many redesigns of a web site and they are OK, but best thing on Warfare HQ is forum so forum should be presented with much bigger fonts on a front page. Just my two cents.
You can also link up with gaming companies (PC & board games) for giveaway competitions etc... Well, I was in gaming journalism before (now trying to make a lot of more money http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif) so i can help you with some advices. I interviewed many game designers and met them personally. That would be cool, lot's more interviews. Norm Koger after he release Russo-Japanese War. Hehe, I was negotiating even with him interview. I made interviews with Paul Reiche III (did you play Archon & Star Controle II?), Steve Meretzky, Peter Molineux etc...

Westpointer, sorry I voted Daily - but it should be Monthly rather. Mistook it for the Forum TOAW section... You might want to change my vote... :o
While I am at it, I find the TOAW HQ section (outside the forum that is) is perhaps not optimal. I would imagine it is the place where new players are supposed to be lured into the game... Perhaps all the necessary information for prospective players is there, but I think it would be nice to have some screenshots and explanatory text available on the first page, to give a new visitor an immediate understanding about what TOAW is. I am not so sure this is the case now. It can probably be gathered after some clicking around. For the people already addicted, I imagine the forum is more interesting.
Just some thoughts. :)

Just some thoughts. :)Excellent thoughts! I imagine that some of the other daily votes may have been voting for the forums also and not the HQ section.
(I modified the vote count so your true vote is reflected.)

Done!
Yes, this is an area that has gone somewhat stagnant. Some great suggestions, guys, keep 'em coming!

One thing you can do is to make some links. As far as I can tell, from the TOAW forum page there is no direct link to TOAW HQ. To get there from the forums you need to go to HOME and then a couple of more jumps until you are at TOAW HQ.
A direct link from the TOAW scenarios page to TOAW HQ would also be beneficial.
You also might consider making links from the TOAW scenario page directly to the various custom files listed on the TOAW HQ.
Better yet, I tend to think that all of the custom stuff should be found in one place . . . as it is, TOAW HQ contains come custom files and the scenario page carries the rest of the custom files. They all need to be in one place, i.e. the TOAW scenario/maps/misc page.

The AARs are divided between the older ones (up to 2002) on WarfareHQ AAR general section (http://www.warfarehq.com/index.php?page=after_action_reports/aar.shtml#TOAW) and the more recent one located in the TOAW AAR sub-forum (http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27). Maybe there should be a link from the general AAR page to some of the recently finished AARs in the sub-forum, probably after staff approval and/or edition. The quality of TOAW AARs was one of the reasons I got attracted to WarfareHQ - others could fall in the trap with fresher baits http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif
Looking more closely at the AAR general section, I notice ASL, ATF and TacOps AARs are current in the section. However, the TOAW forum dedicated to AARs is very handy in that it is user-friendly when it comes to write and read them. It could be kept as is, with the section staff just adding links to the AAR general section when a particular TOAW AAR is approved to make his way through the AAR general section...
Not sure I am cristal clear here http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/hmmm.gif http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif
