View Full Version : Scenario's on H TurttleDove Great War Series
Has anyone done a scenario based on Harry Turtledove's Great War Series. Basically a WWI era "Civil War"? Thanks
Hello my friend.........
No-one has actually finished one to my knowledge, but I've just started testing my one. Check out;

I'm playing one test at the moment against Raver, and am about to start a second against another bloke from Virginia. It'll be at least 6 months before it's good to be released as complete enough for public consumption. If you want, you can join in as a playtester. I do need some feedback on how it's going.
How familiar are you with TOAW: COW?
I would certainly like to playtest the scenario. I would consider myself an average player. I have played TOAW II and COW for a couple of years, but only recently started playing PBEM.
I have been playing board games and computer wargames for 20 years.
I'll fire the zip file off to you tonight my time (early morning your time). Have a look at it, hotseat the game for a while, and let me know what you think. It may take a while to set you up with another player though......
Regardless of that, you can still tell me what you think, when you read through the notes, look at the map, the orbats etc.

Felix,
If you are looking for another playertester, I can help out. I just finished a PBEM game, so I have some open time now.
I have TOAW I and ACOW from a few years ago.. just started PBEM games, but I am pretty familiar with the TOAW system. I have played quite a few games against the PO.
If your interested, let me know.. and send me the game file.

Look forward to it. :cheeky:
Read through the links. This is definitely what I was looking for! If you want me as a playtester, just email the scenario to me at
mcarroll1@new.rr.com
Only problem is that you need to send it to me zipped because my security settings will probably strip if it is just a regular file.
Thanks
Enigma - Don't post your email in a public forum. Bots will scoop it, and you're just asking for a zillion more spams, and even spam that appears to originate from you! I kid you not! My staff account at Armchair General has been 'sending' virii out to quite a few people, including other staff members! :surprise: (Which is quite annoying, since I obviously didn't send any of the messages...)
If you have to post your email in a public forum, do something like:
mcarroll1 at new dot rr dot com
Or something similar.
Thanks I will make sure I do not do that again
