Briefing: Rebel forces have been busy trying to build up the defenses of the town to protect their supply base. Reports indicate they have about 3 infantry companies in prepared trenches and fighting positions in and around the town. They are also rumored to have moved some heavy guns into the area as well.

Mission: Assault the town, capture the Mayor's Office and drive any Rebel forces from the town limits.

Thanks, battle is going on, very caoutiously, however. There is no firefight yet, my scouts detected some enemy units, but they did not open up. They probably cannot see us. I am moving into the most favourable positions possible, before charging.

Any update on the status of this battle?

I took mayors office, however, reb HQ escaped somehow. Remaining rebel forces totally encircled, I would have killed/taken prisoner them if game did not quit. So could you please credit me all, even though they are on the map? I also captured 3 mortars. My force suffered somewhat, but local population will fill our ranks.

I prepared AAR by turns, I will post it as soon as I get home.

Advancing on the town Pro-Governemnt Forces encountered mines and dug in Rebel Forces. After a hard fight the Rebel positions were overrun and the town secured but at a heavy cost to the Pro-Government's Armor assets.

Here is my AAR just very short:

I managed to find a way around the town, initially it was not guarded, however, they set up a roadblock, and some of my too eager armored units ran into it. But I managed to encircle the enemy, and destroy all of them in the city center.

They had a lot of RPGs, and they did use ambushes well, so my armor supporting the main thrust from the South was all lost.

I pushed hard after I saw that they had only one and a half company, so so I literally overrun their positions. This was a fierce and bloody battle, but rebels were practically eliminated in the town.

Now I would like to ask reinforcements, especially artillery and anti-armor, as a counterattack from the main rebel force is inevitable, I think. With well-prepared defensive post already existing, we can defend this place, I think. Mines would also be of much use.

Well its very good that you were able to complete your objective's but I thought youd be alittle more careful with what was our armored core.
There is no anti armor in our forces at this time,and no real artilery either,I'm alittle surprized how much equipment the rebels had in my battle against them.

If we own the town G then we can lay some mines but there are Rebels present still and I think we wont get the points for that town.
