Hey All,
I have much interest in the building of Ops for this game and have decided on building a series of small ops from the opening days of Barbarossa to the attempted relief of Leningrad.
These Ops will be designed as PvP games but will be set up so still possible i hope for PvAI.
Im hoping to recreate Battalion sized actions from various units who all contributed in either the push towards or the defence of the said city.
The reason for the post is for two reasons. The first being i have an emmense amount of data on german forces both from books and the internet but im am lacking somewhat in information on Soviet units. Not so much how they were organized but mainly what divisions fought in which Armies. If anyone can point me towards good websites for this information, it would be much appreciated.
The second reason for the post is i was hoping for some feedback in what you guys (or girls) look for in an Op. Ive played some that came with the game as default and i found some way too big for me to seriously play without a staff HQ to help me. (This aint a complaint its just my own feeling)
I was thinking along the lines as said of Battalion sized games with support, possibly static with a fair sized map most likely no more than 3 battles.
Any feedback on these two points would be of great help to my Ops.
