Hello all

Well, I guess I have a slot open for a game or two.
Some of my other opponents seem to have fallen off the face of the earth.

I prefer the larger scenarios, but may be willing to go small, depending on the scenario. :D

Mmmh... Campaign for North Africa or Overlord 44? Both being at 200+ turns should fit in the 'larger scenarios' category http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif.

I remember one game of Overlord 44, I played the Allied, stormed the beaches, advanced up to the Caen line and into the bocage, liberated Cherbourg and than dug in, ferried in reinforcements and started vaporizing the german artillery and his infantry. By turn 47 I estimated 60-70% of the germans artillery was destroyed and 70-80% of his infantry killed, only his tanks were holding his line together and he obviously had virtually no reinforcements left (the Luftwaffe was annihilated on turn 01 and naver made it back in strength). Than, just as I began to attack in earnest my opponent stopped responding  Oh well.

Just when the fun was about to begin, what a shame... http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif

Nop, ALF was my opponent back than, that was almost 2 years ago :cheeky:

Interesting scenario by the way, it's hard to say how balanced it is from my experience, because my opponent played pretty passive and I think the allies were doing pretty well, on the other hand I played a game vs the PO were I took the germans and inflicted horrendous losses upon the allies and were even beginning an offensive by turn 90 to push them back into the ocean when I lost interest playing against the PO :)

Against the PO, the scenario appears to be lopsided, whatever the side you choose. When playing the Allied side against a computerised German commander some time ago, I simply ran out of German units to destroy by turn 100. I am currently playing as German against the PO and the going is even easier than in V for Victory:Utah Beach...http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/dead.gif
It should be interesting to see how the game unfolds in PBEM (hence my proposal http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif).

For a more balanced scenario, try Roundup 1943 by Tim McBride. Setting the invasion one year earlier in the same theater helped to have a more active German. See: http://www.the-strategist.net/RD/scenarii/display_scenario.php?Id=595

Don't know why.
I also have trouble with somebody else's e-mail though I forget who.
Those are the only problems I've had with e-mail; you and the "other guy". :D

I think you misunderstood.
I meant larger, not longer. :D
Something like a Braunshweig or even a GiO.
My turn around time for these ones is about a turn/week or so.
The smaller the scenario, usually the shorter turn around time.

I'd ask for a Wintergewitter, but I'm playing in the tourney against southern dandy, if his computer problems get solved that is. :(

This scenario looks interesting from both sides. ;)

It's balanced, I playtested both sides when Tim was at TDG and managed to loose playing either one :cheeky:

This scenario looks interesting from both sides. ;) I concur. And it is relatively short, though large http://www.warfarehq.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif. If playing a still-newbie is not a problem, pick a side and off we go...

Cool.
I'll take the Germans. All 4 house rules are OK with me.
I'll PM you with my e-mail address.
