though I am now supposed to be playing 8 CS games, still more than 50% of my spare time is still "spare" :P (after I recovered from that damn cold ... of course)

Artic Fox (and your twin brother.. von B.): you mentioned you would send me a turn or choose something? You ready now?

... I just do not know it was me who was too hyper or .... :devious: :D

OK I have picked out these two:

Kucher's Ragtag Circus (Complexity 3), Axis versus USA, 9 April 1945
Taskforce Lovelady (Complexity 4), Axis versus USA, 15 September 1944

As I am currently practicing eliminating German vehicles, I'd prefer to play as the Allies if that is possible.

Let me know which one we're doing - the Axis go first in the Circus, but the Allies go first in Lovelady.

Alternatively we could play both games at once, one of us as Allied and the other as the Axis.

Awaiting your reply - azrael@senet.com.au

You will like Kucher's Ragtag Circus. This is an edge-of-your-seat scenario where the loss of a single vehicle could decide the game. Stop by the AARs section and read the AAR we did on that one a while back.

Enjoy.

cool... let us say, we do BOTH!
I do not know if you would like 4 games or just 2... anyway, I will start both games and send them to you then :D (you do not have to use them, I mean, just to save us some communication time, which is much longer than playing time for me, I do both... and you can pick up whichever you like :) )

many thx.

Sorry for the delay in my turn ER Chaser, but you say you have 8 CS games going - I currently have 19 PBEM games going in 4 Clubs!
Kuchers Circus is a balanced game if both players are experienced at PBEM, if the Allied player isn't then it is an easy win for the Axis. I'm currently playing my first game of Lovelady, and it looks very balanced.

I agree with that. The stronger player needs to be the Allied player.

I did not mean to play four games, but you've now given me the crazy idea - why the hell not?! OK so I will reply to the two you sent me, and then do two more games with the opposite forces.

I read the AAR, seems like just the scenario I am looking for (blowing up Kraut armour), and am wondering how you go about writing AAR's up. Do I need to write a text file, and save a replay of the battle, and then send the whole lot in or....?

Wolf and Don, thx for the advice.... anyway, it is up to Fox to pick up the side... I really do not mind (.. hehe.. either way, I feel good: if I am to play Axis, then I have better chance to win. If I play allies, then I am considered better .. lol ... )

Wolf: I wasn't complaining about you :D .... You are relatively fast among my playing buddies :D ---- but you gave me an important hint: I should ask for more ---- the reason I stopped at 8 games, was because if 8 of them all came in the same day, I still can return them right in the same day. But beyond that, I will have to delay for some of them. But these days, I feel lucky if my mailbox has one or two turns waiting there ;(

So ... welcome all players, please pick up your favorite (side and scenario) and fight me :D ... I can play another 8 games in such a status.

thx all

Done! So now you have four more games to play. I've zipped them and sent them and by the time you read this they should have finally been downloaded onto your machine :)

One of the things I found in the first few months of playing by e mail, was that I played alot of complex 3,4,5,and 6 six games at a time. I was getting more and more of them, but still it seemed like I wasnt playing too much. Because those games dont take very long to view the replay and to play the turn. After about an hour of play you find you have gone though ten battles and sent them all off,,,,then what, is it a game against the AI or what.

I now tend to play much bigger battles, complex 8, 9 or 10. I find these much better, the turns of course take much longer to view and play, but they are far more satisfying and mean that your Campaign Series time is filled. I still play smaller battles aswell to fill the time.
But my advice is to give a larger battle a go.

haha.. that means I still need more practice to get to a true veteran of CS games :)

right now, my feeling toward 8,9,10 games was that most of units just sit there and do not do anything... that is why I felt bored with those levels. Maybe later after I improved, I will learn to enjoy more complicated ones.

But you are right, only a few minutes for a level 6 game... so.. :(

Usually after that, I play other games (not CS any more.. the AI is kinda stupid) ----these days, that means Warlord Battlecry... a damn hard RTS to me ... ;p

ER Chaser, there are some very good 10 complexity games out there, where you feel very involved. Games such as Hell's Highway, Ortona and the Long Shot. I have PBEM games of all these going and they are very absorbing (the Allied turn of Hell's Highway is taking 10+ hours playing time per turn!)

well well, I ended up in waiting endlessly for turns again....

COME ON boys! Any more takers? Truly, each turn just takes about 20 mins ---- just none of you can spare that much time to do me a favor? :D

Any new games from new opponents? Anyone welcome, and any scenario with complexity above 5 below 8, (... raising the limit..myself :D ) any side, any historical time, all ok for me, please ... feed.... :D
