View Full Version : Graphic problems in Raging Tiger.

I've just tried out the "Beach Party" mission from the Raging Tiger Demo. And my maps was all black....?

Loading the "DMZ Sweep II" mission doesn't have this problem, so I read the "Readme.rtf" and found a solution to the problem, by disabling Direct Draw Acceleration.

I'm sorry to say that this is not a solution for me. I play a lot of other games that need Direct 3D acceleration and I don't want to change a setting in DxDiag everytime I will play a different game.

So does any of you have any ideas or solutions besides letting the ATF series pass?
I mean one of the missions works just fine and the other don't. Disabling Direct Draw Acceleration, starting the Beach Party Mission and let it fully load. Then enabling Direct Draw Acceleration again seems to work to.

Cheers

An easier way is to RC on your desktop, select SETTINGS, then ADVANCED, then TROUBLESHOOT, and you can use the slider to enable/disable 3D acceleration in that manner. I'm sorry, but that is really the only way, and the fastest, to ensure you can play all of the scenarios in Raging Tiger.

DK,

I am sorry there is not more I can do.

What is required is a complete overhaul of the graphics engine, in order to account for non-compliance from the now dominant ATI video cards. I am afraid that this cannot be tackled until Air Assault Task Force (in production).

If you find this workaround prohibitive to purchase, I completely understand. I would just ask you to remember that, when AATF is released, all of the previous games will be compatible with it (meaning you can run all of the ATF and Raging Tiger scenarios in AATF).

Thanks for the input.

Thanx for taking time to answer my question here. I guess I will wait until AATF is ready and then order them all... :cheeky:

Do you have a rough estimate for the release... 2004 or 2005?

I cannot imagine a situation where AATF will be ready before late 2005.
