I have an idea for a scenario:

in October 2004 - Israeli planes, refueled by US, strike Iranian nuclear facilities (reactor in Busheir, weapon development center in Teheran, etc.). In reaction to that, Iran launches a few conventional No-Dong missiles on Israel, and launches its (prepared for the occasion) South-West Army (two corps - about 4 divisions + 4 divisions of Pasadaran) against Iraq (to "liberate" iraqis' muslims) and against US-Polish-ITalian-etc.-UK coalition forces (unprepared for such an attack).

The idea is to make that a lightning war scenario to see the ability of the US/UK/Polish/Italian forces to regroup, in the misdst of isolated garrisons, surrounded by insurgency, with limited weavy weapons and fight back the Iranian attack in a week or so, before overwhelming air support and reinforcements break the Iranian effort. Iran wins by seizing objectives and capturing coalition forces. After a week or so, armistice is agreeded.

I'd like to use the map from Saddam's last gamble maps.
I have a good OOB and TOE for coalition deployments in Iraq (by Ocotber) and Iranian forces.


What I need from you fine people, are ideas for events, deployments, reinforcement abilities for both sides....

any take on this?

Just finished this scenario. V.1. should work. I am playtesting it. Anyone willing to give it a look and comment and playtest.?

I love scenarios like this so I'll be taking a look at it. I don't know how seriously I'll be able to test or play it until my work load of games and work goes down though.

Ï playtested it added some mods and I posted the scenario on the scenario place.

It is really tough for both sides to win.

Coalition needs to fight off guerilla and hold the iranians, untill massive air assets arrive. then get back as much terrain as possible and limit losses. tough!

Iran/Insurgents must create as much havoc as possible, seize victory objectives (lots of them) and kill as much coalition troops as possible, then hold.

18 turns, perhaps 30 minutes per turn, makes it a fast, if on gigantic terrain, scenario.

the 4 games I played are fun.

I hope this does not happen in reality in the next few weaks.
