Sorry. No can do. The current chat program abuses my prefered browser unacceptabely, and I refuse to take Internet Exploitme out of maximum lockdown (*EVERY* setting in security set to disabled)
There's a way that you can set the specific cookies required for chat to be kept by IE6...
Won't netscape work?
And elaborate on 'abuses your current browser', that sounds interesting...

I listed the problems when the new chat was put up to test. In summary: I use Opera 6.05. When I have popups enabled, instead of opening in a new window, the popup commandeers an existing window and loads itself in it. If I kill popups using my proxy, or Opera's built in popup killer the add loads itself in the window I opened the chat program in, disconnecting me. Nutscrape never ran more than 3 or 4 hours before crashing, I uninstalled it the day I got opera and haven't looked back. as for IE, cookies are very far down the list of reasons why the chat program won't work, disabled java probabally head the list, unless I also killed whatever is needed to attempt the javacall as well. Everything that's disableable is, if I could rip it out entirely, or prevent it from accessing the net entirely I would. I don't even trust the sucurity hole ridden mess as far as I could dropkick the abriged list of exploits. (I suspect the results of an attempt to do that would result in something between, braking every bone in my foot, and tearing it off entirely)

Easily accomplished. You're running 2K? Use Zone Alarm, and deny it access to the net. For my money ZA was the very best protection you could run anyways, and the basic version is free.
