i have posted the first part of my review of the original scenario kharkov 1942, i have only wrote on the soviet point of view, i'm planning to write on the german side in the next few days, before i'd like to have a few comments on it
feel free to say anything you think and be severe with me :p
i need to know what i can change to improve for second part
Uh, are you planing to write the Kharkov bible ?? :D
Im mean, thats very detailed information (only read a few bits here and there) but it's faaar to many information for my tasting, I though this new section was more meant to be a short information on a scenario you've already played (fun? balanced? some technical infos/timeframe) so just in case I am looking for a new scenario to play to get some inspirations. If I want more informations I read the scenario description that comes along with the scenario in the start menue, if I want even more infos I look for an AAR. You are providing us with all of the above at once :D
My recommendation: use Siberian HEAT's template but only write 1-2 sentences each. Example:
Scenario Title/version: Drang Nach Osten 3.6
Scenario Author: Daniel McBride
Era/Turns: Axis: 10h/turn, Soviets: 4h/turn
Location/Map Scale: 10km/hex, Berlin to Stalingrade, Helsinki to Baku
Balance Notes: tough job for the Axis but balanced if played well.
Entertainment Notes: 10/10, highly recommended!
Game Play Notes (Force 1): The Axis player should be a TOAW veteran, strategically and tactically skilled or else the soviet player will sooner or later manage to build a human brick wall and its all over. Be fast, this is THE scenario to test your Blitzkrieg skills!
Game Play Notes (Force 2): The job for the soviets player is easier, especially early on (everything is dead or can't move) as defending is easier than attacking, but dont play careless or else a skilled Axis player will just waltz over your Red Army and it's all over
Summary: Great scenario, one of the best and certainly the best Barbarossa scenario I've played so far, highly recommended for anybody looking for a monster WW2 game!

Got to agree with Kraut on this one. What you wrote is fantastic but rather put it in this forum all chopped up, you should turn it into an article for posting at the WarfareHQ TOAW site.

well i hesitated before posting this because of what you said
i'm going to remove all so and i'll pm siberian heat about this
Looks good to me. I don't see why you shouldn't post all that stuff, after all you have all the necessary information in the first post and the rest is jsut extra. It's not like the other people would have to read all that.

i'm waiting for siberian heat's reply, he will decide

Well I hope you don't take our comments negatively. What you have written is fantastic and if you do the same for the Germans you would have quite an article. I just think you should post it as an article rather then as a bunch of forum posts that will eventually disappear unless you do a search for them. Put them with the articles and it will be easy to find and a great guide for playing the scenario.

no idnd't take your comments as negative
and i want to thank you for giving your impressions to me, as i said i'm waiting for siberian heat's reply, because i got the impression this forum could be the right place as it seems to be a place for study on scenario. It has the advantage to give the possibility to other players to post comments on what i have written, to say if they agree what other strategies they would try and so on, to put it on the article page would be great but unfortunately people won't have the option to react
and as it is a forum dedicated to scenario notes i don't think there will be many threads but i'll see what siberian heat says

I think it is fine. As long as you have the standardised information at the beginning of your thread, post nr 1, the rest is just bonus. If several posters do as you have done, I would imagine it would be easy for the staff to react and ask for an article to be compiled out if it, if the content is good! Viridomaros, very good I say. :)

OK, sorry can't help with that - only played it once, and my Russians were kicked around by Becker. Really humiliating.

Special events : Chance of additional Soviet replacements if Soviets occupy Belgorod (26,5).
Chance of additional Soviet replacements if Soviets occupy Taranovka (22,18).
Chance of additional Soviet replacements if Soviets occupy Liptsy (26,11).
Axis supplies reduced if Soviets capture Denepetrovsk (6,40).
Axis supplies reduced if Soviets capture Poltava (2,17).
Chance 6th Romanian Corps will be withdrawn if Soviets breakthrough Romanian position ( that means soviet taking pavlograd).
None of the above works in the original CD version as the designer failed to note that 1st force is NOT the side that starts the game but rather the second force starts the game.........Complicated to explain for those not up on designing scenarios.......The REVISED version of the game plays correct....the only changes made were the switch in the Event Engine for all events relating to 1st force now pertaining to to 2nd force.........

i know, i'm currently playing this scenario against jean-luc betin, it seems changements have been made for the deployement of axis reinforcements. Now they get an infantry division on turn 2 or 3 north west of belgorod, by the time i wrote that i wasn't aware that none of the events were working. May be i should edit the whole now, i'm waiting to finish this game with jean-luc first

For the 2 testing we made together, using the old version and the revised version, I saw now the difference in the replacement rate.
It helps a lot in pursuing the offensive against the Facists :D
