Intelligence gathered from refugees traveling South are reporting heavy concentrations of Rebel forces in both Zones C and G.

It appears that the Rebels hold the towns in both A and G and they have begun to field additional forces/unit they have been able to acquire during the previous week.

It appears that Pro-Government Forces have complete control of the towns in both Zones J and T and still have a very heavy concentration of Forces in Zones O.

The UN Security Council has authorized the deployment of a prototype Ukrainian Attack Helicopter for combat testing purposes. It should arrive on station early in the coming week.

Fellow Commanders,

I have the following plan. Our assembled mech formation from S will move to N, where it links up with forces already there. Govt forces are to be leaving the area, so we can start a search and destroy operation against the rebel coy still hiding there. After they are finished, we set will block the route at the bridge, with some forces guarding river fords.

The unit in C will evade larger infantry forces if necessary, however, if we succeed provoking rebels into an armoured thrust from G, our Ka-50 anti-tank helicopter will have a chance to show its abilites.

Now the question I have is, what to do with the formation in C if there is no rebel onslaught on them. Town A at the moment is only guarded by a platoon, but between them and our coy there are 2 rebel coys. So however tempting is to try to go back, it would probably end in a disaster. Moving to M could be a good idea, as we could block the whole river, therefore cordoning off the south. The other possibility is to move to B, wait until forces move to G and then descend on A. This is, however, risky, as I do not believe that neither coy from C will return to A. (Not mentioning the fact, that they can always set up new forces in A.) Another possibility is to make a light attack on G, therefore reducing their points for next turn. It could also provoke armored response in which case the Ka-50 would handle the situation.

Now, if rebels are attacking govt forces in I, we might just "happen" to have our chopper there, thus wreaking havoc on advancing armor. I do not know how it would be possible. I want ideas on this.

Going back to the question of A, if they really leave it guarded by one platoon only, then next turn we should get some kind of an amphibious or airmobile force, and take it, either from the sea (Inchon!), or from the air. This would upset rebel plans considerably, as they would have to advance to retake the city, while we could evacuate it quickly again. (either by boat, but even more likely by helicopters)

So these are my toughts for now, please share what you have in your mind about what I said. Then we can start formulating a plan.

Thank you for your attention,
Regards,
Lt.Gen. Tóth
