You have 250 Replacement Purchase Points to use (200 for this turn and 50 from the previous turn) at the start of OP3. I will select the units, post here and give the possible deploy locations for these assets in the next couple of days or so.

Ammm, shouldnt it be US who selects the units? I know what I want for my troops, this is from the Ukr. OOB so politically it is cleared, I guess (see my previous post about talks with Ukr. govt). It is all right that you decide where it is deployed/arriving to (however, airlift is the most realistic choice, I guess.)
So what I would like to have is an Ukr. Ka-50 Anti-tank helicopter (in Rare gunship section, 30mm AC, 2x6 AT-6, 80mm rocket pod), which the govt. of Ukr. has offered us to test its abilities in real combat. As other teams can decide what they want from the weapons chaches we should be able to so as well!!!

The Green and Red forces are severly restricted in what thye can choose from so allowing you to choose from a VERY large choice of options may not be fair. I will choose units based on your requests and campign balance, etc. Just continue to make your recommendations (and throw in point costs too if you would).

OK, second option
TOW/HOT armed helicopter, there are a variety in the game, I think UAE has some, or Germans, I am not sure. An ammo carrier might come handy with them as well. :D
Third
Ukr. pair of Su-25T planes with AT-16 Vikhr. (as far as I remember we could buy two)
Fourth
German SP battery of M109s, 207 points, if I remember correctly. SP mortars (preferably with automatic Vasilyok) can be nice as well. Cheap Ukr. 152/122 mm SPs would come handy as well.
Fifth
Ukrainian Mi-26 heavy helos for strategic transport. (as much as we can) From remainig points some kind of a small chopper, to lift ATGM teams/snipers.
This is my wish-list, I am sorry that I cannot give price with them, I do not have a copy of the game on this computer.
Bofore purchasing them, I would like to have a final nod on this, so please do not finalize as long as I did not see it.

No problem. Actually the 1st option my be OK. I am just trying to look and see how badly it may throw things out of balance but let me review some stuff.

Now, the only thing we have to do is to draw their armor into a battle: then we can obliterate them. I would prefer to do it now and once for all, because if they see this chopper, I am sure that their next revenue will go for MANPADS and AAA, so will have a harder time dealing with them. So what are your ideas?
Also, a question to DD: can we operate the chopper in the same zone govt forces are active? I mean, the chopper would only hover at high altitude on the edge of the map, the govt player would have no right to issue movement orders to it, and the gunship would just fire on anything that moves on the other side of the map. (I would ask govt to lay smoke barrie in front of it, so no one would know what is over there.) It would be there just by accident... :D

What about the rule which says that if a town is attacked, the current owner cannot get buy points from it? What if I just send one of my Mirage planes to drop a few bombs, simply to prevent them accumulating?
The other question is: If I demonstrate that I have the necessary intel on it, can I just send chopper/planes in a 4-6 turns long battle, involving only my air assets and for example an enemy armoured coloumn? Planes/helicopter just pops up, kills whatever it can, enemy disperses, then air assets disappear... :D

No. I would say it COULD do recon in that zone BUT no offensive operations. It would need UN ground units in the area to conduct combat operations (to avoid firing on invalid targets by accident ;) ).

No, it would have to be a ground force of some size to prevent them from getting the points.

No, I doubt the game engine will handle that well. Chances are very good it will abort (auto-end the game) before many turns are done since the force points are so out of balance.
