I finally got a Substantial Japanese Victory!

I finally got a Substantial Japanese Victory! :vsign:

I only lost 3 older Protected Cruisers, the Protected Cruiser Chitose, and the Armored Cruiser Nisshin. The Russians only were able to capture one neutral transport and didn't sink any Japanese transports. I sank most of the Russian Fleet and they were only left with 2 Coastal Battleships, 1 older obsolete Battleship and 2 older obsolete Armored Cruisers.

You have achieved what I have not. I find that with the Japanese, you need to be good and lucky. I was once playing a near flawless campaign until the break out from Pt Arthur, forced out months early BTW. 1st Pac picked up nearly one dozen Marus while heading for Vlad. Togo was chasing and made repeated contacts with the gunships and clippers, just nothing important. I went from Japanese + to Russian in an afternoon, and I play DID.

What happened in my game when the 1st Pac Sqd broke out of Port Arthur was that I had both the main force of modern Japanese Battleships and Cruisers along with the old obsolete force of the Chin Yen group patroling right outside. The Russians broke out at night so I encountered them at close range. The Chin Yen group took out the gunboats and clippers but lost two old Protected Cruisers to overwelming fires. In that first encounter I took out all the destoryers and also severely mauled one of the Battleships so that his top speed was down to 10 kts. I then intentionally disengaged so that I could take them on later during daylight. With their speed drastically reduced I was then able to catch and destroyed the 1st Pac Sqd long before they even reached the shipping lanes around Korea. The only problem I ran into was that they also caused too much damage to the Chitose and Nisshin that they sank due to fire.
