Spotting Fortifications
I compiled this chart from data obtained in a series of tests to find out at what ranges the different kinds of Fort-class units become spotted.
I placed pairs of forts, one in open ground, the other in woods.
Example: gun-armed pillboxes in open ground are easily seen 2000m away, but if they're in woods they're not seen until the enemy gets within 600m.
The tests were carried out with stationary veteran infantry on a clear summer mid-day.

Note-The ranges are approx only, as they'll fluctuate according to weather and visibility etc, and whether the spotters are moving or not (movers spot poorly)
(Note with some fort units it makes no difference if they're in open ground or in woods, the spotting distance remains the same)
