Potential opponents:

having completed one game with a second approaching a conclusion I now feel I have the experience to play others. I will just say that in the first game I was not successful. I am doing much better in the second. The worst that can happen is a tie. I had three other games going but do to demands on their time my opponents ceased playing. A situation I completely understand. Not everyone has as much time for games as I do. Even a partially completed game adds to the skill level.

Now to the point. I am looking for opponents for Waterloo campaign a long campaign with no fixed units. I am happy to play either side. Whoever takes Napoleon has a large challenge from what I have seen. Although as it should be your choice of starting positions is of immense importance to the outcome of the game. An allied opponent caught concentrated on the wrong side of the map will have to scramble for his victory.

Update:

have now completed two games neither of which I have anything to brag about. The first was played as a campaign game the second as a battle. Could just be my inexperience but there seems to be considerable difference in the balance of the game between the two. It's my understanding most are reluctant to play under the campaign mode as there is no way to encode your move. Honesty is a valuable asset but temptation can be overpowering so I understand that reluctance.

So all that said looking for opponents for a battle game full campaign no fixed units. More than happy to play either side. Although reading the after action reports and having experienced it the French do seem to be very powerful. One thing I would insist on is the use of the limit rout rule. Without it the Prussian player will spend most of the game watching his units run run run run. Again it could just be my inexperience but boy did my Prussian run.

Still have one other game playing barring some big huge disaster I should get a tie out of it.

That's not my understanding...really, if you can't trust the person you are playing against, just don't play them anymore...plenty of opponents out there to be wasting time with a cheater.

Wish I could take you up on a game, but I'm not doing a good job keeping up with my current matches, so I must pass. :upset:
