All is quiet so far ,we wait for the enemy to arrive. 5th Inf Scouts are going to lay low and look to survive the battle being cut off at the moment and on the other side of the map.
5th Inf Co (2/3rds elements) blocks the enemies path supported directly by the 2nd Recon Section's 2 BMP-R's that are off down the road abit.
To the south of the main road hidden in the woods is the 6th Infantry Co waiting to flank the enemy at the proper moment.

The enemy coming up the road, and off to the south of the road, has spotted and fired upon my 6th Pro Gov Inf Co,so they fired back and after a firefight that was intense but short lived,I see three routed Rebel Squads and one retreating,as well as a Rebel Scout Squad possibly destroyed or maybe they have one man left. The Scout Squad was on the north side of the road up further than the other squads and mmg sec I saw.I have a couple pinned squads. For all the shooting that went on though only the enemy Scout Squad got shot up bad,the Rebels may have lost one other man and Pro Gov has lost one maybe two men.I have a good advantage terrain-wise at the moment .Im slightly above the Rebels(6th Inf Co)and in good cover.
The 2x 60mm Mortars have been ordered to fire upon an enemy area with a 1.4 delay.
The MMG sec from the Rebel Co is down the road abit and was firing at one of my squads that had moved into the roadway to attack the scout squad close up.That squad set off a smoke bomb cutting the machine gun(S) off for now.
The 5th Pro Gov Inf Scouts have hidden in the woods on the left side of the map north of the roadway.
Now the 5th Pro Gov Inf Co(Elements of) and 2nd Recon Section(6th Scouts) are racing down the road to assist the 6th Pro Gov Inf Co.The next turn should put them into the thick of it.
A solid stomping of the Rebels here could put a damper on there dreams of contending for town J.

The fighting continues,we each lost a couple men this time around,6th Inf Co is still in a tree line at the top of a small hill firing down at various rebel squads.
Lots of Rebels running for it :),including the enemy 7.62 mmg section trying to nip at my troops.
Some enemy 61mm Mortar fire did land uneventfully this turn.
5th Inf Co (Elements) and 2nd Recon section have moved in and one squad was fired upon by a rebel squad hidden in the trees north of the second road slightly above the first on the map.
I moved that Pro Gov Squad back toward the rest of 5th.
This combined force is coming from the east on both roadways that run east /west and will swarm the enemy soon.
Still no confirmed Rebel Squads eliminated though :(

Firefight getting fiercer. All forces now pushing at the enemy.
6th company now moving down hill into village of Mugosh,
Enemy mortar fire killed a man,and we lost a half dozen more in the firefight.
Enemy losses for the turn. One squad eliminated, maybe two.
About a dozen rebels killed overall.
Worse for me was a squad from 5th moving up that lost 2-3 men to enemy fire.

We have the village of Mugosh surrounded in a semi circle from 2 oclock to about 6:30.
I move a 5th Inf Co,Pro Gov Squad up between the two roadways from building to building and it gets shot by a Rebel Squad to the north of the roadway in a house.A Pro Gov support Squad then moves up with them and we lose a man. Both Squads pinned down by Rebel fire.
North of the road and more to the east in the woods a couple Pro Gov Squads working together kill 2 Rebels from a squad there and send them running routed.
Then moved up a couple 5th Inf squads under smoke cover to the house north of the road with rebels in it.We kill 6-8 rebels and sent both Rebel Squads running for there lives with 3 men left in each squad.
Moved another 5th Inf Squad up to the pesky 7.62mm MMG section operating with the RPG-7 team.Destroyed the 7.62mm MMG section and sent the RPG team running after killing one man.
A BMP-R then came up the north road and destroyed one of the routed 3 man Rebel Squads as well as sending the RPG team running again.
Moved the BMP-R back behind the infantry.Moved the Scouts of the 5th Inf co back into the roadway on the left side of the map to look for retreating units.
About a third of the 6th Infantry Co is pinned down at this point.I move a couple 6th Inf Squads up to 2 good cover hexes, from there the Squads eliminate the other 3 man routed Rebel Squad and send the RPG team running again.
I move up the other BMP-R on the southern road and fire at the RPG team, they live and run again.Move the BMP-R back behind infantry.
At that point the rest of the 6th moves up and fires at anything in sight, they finally remove the RPG-7 team.
Rebel fire is sporadic at this point and there is a strong sense that there back has been broken here.
As I scan the battle field I see 2 Rebel Squads pinned and a Rebel Mortar Team,as well as 4 other partial routed Rebel Squads.
Ordered the 60 mm mortars to fire at remaining rebel dense spot,a pinned squad next to a couple routed squads.

ON Rebel Replay-
The enemy takes a shot at the south road BMP-R with the 61mm mortars,I breathed easier when they harmlessly bounced off the frontal armor of the BMP-R.The Rebels also engage in various sporadic squad fire and get a hail of Pro gov fire in return.
To the northeast of Mugosh the fleeing Rebel Squad gets shot at again by a 5th Inf Co Squad killing a man,and they run for it leaving 4 men in the squad. They had fled west a hex and another Squad from the 5th Inf co north of the road headed north to a lone raised tree group hex looking down at the fleeing 4 rebels ,heh.
This Squad fires killing one Rebel and fires again after the rebels had moved a hex killing 2 more, the last man fled vaporizing the squad.
Another 5th Inf Co Squad moves up and destroys the 61mm mortar unit.
The rest of 5th Inf Co moves west without any return fire from the Rebels.
2nd Recon's BMP-R's fire at and make a Rebel Squad run.
Meanwhile the 6th Inf Co is aggressively moving up in front of the 5th Inf Co and setting up smoke against the Rebel holdouts.
This was abit costly as the first couple squads moving up in the open with little cover lost 2-3 men each.
Now with the smoke screen up and a good deal of the 6th Inf Co right behind it the Rebels are in trouble.
5th Inf Scout moved up the road toward the rebels,no retreating troops seen yet.
I only see three rebels squads at this point but I feel like theres a couple almost destroyed squads out there running for there lives somewhere.

I got the file from Dita but the battle was over, apparently the Rebel moral was to low and the game ended.
I saw 4 Rebel Squads Destroyed and all the Rebel support units Destroyed,scouts,7.62mmg,rpg-7 tm,61mm mortar In the list ,and sadly somehow I guess on the last Rebel turn I lost a Pro Gov Support Squad.

It appears that the recent ambush against Rebel Forces moving into and operating in Zone I was rather successful. After taking very heavy casualties the remaining Rebel units disappeared into the heavily wooded forests of the zone.
Pro Government losses were minimal with only the loss of x1 Support Squad from 5th Pro Government Infantry Company (-).
Both Rebel and UN Forces are still active in the zone!
