View Full Version : usa 3rd world in sport now 3rd world In games
Gentlemen
How insuler can you get. The rest of the World dont give a toss for gridiron, baseball or basketball. World Series played by one or is it two countries?
We have EAW, ACW and now Mexican Wars please get a life outside the goldfish bowl
Let's see, we also have Napoleonic Campaigns and Panzer Campaigns. The fact is that HPS is an American company, and will probably make more "American" games. The reason being that they sell.
Personally I would love to see a Franco-Prussian Wars, some Seven-Years War and a Crimean Campaign, but they would only appeal to a small segment of the market. HPS has to make games that will sell in order to make some of these smaller niche games.

Not to mention Defending the Reich, the Naval Games, the Squad Battles games, the 2 Ancients games, First Blitzkrieg... An overall good breadth of games.
As to what else may be coming?
Well, let's just say that I've met Rich Hamilton and...
He's scary!

I think we've shown, with a number of our recent releases, that we are interested in covering non-us involved actions. SAW & WW both lack any US involvement. I imagine you'll see more like this as well.

Most likely not in the EAW engine, but assuming the market is there I imagine you will see content like this. But, as you note, if people don't buy it, it will quickly derail future content. Can't put it out there for free...

Actually Mexican Wars is the 4th in the series of EAW(Early American Wars) - not a separate series, so I'm not sure what the issue is nor the reason for the apparent rancor. :nervous: In fact Mexican Wars is the only true "American" War in the series. :D The rest involve "American" forces helped by one "European" colonial power vs another "European" colonial power. So actually EAW would be better named "Colonial Wars".:smoke:
So for the next series of games we could have "ASLEW" of games.:clown:
Bonus points for figuring out what the acronymn means.:hmmm:
Pretty sure Jim was just "ribbing" us Yanks there Phil, not a serious gripe...at least I didn't take it that way. :)

I'm sure he didn't either which is why I replied in kind. :) tit for tat :clown: Besides his Prussians are beating my butt at Jena Auerstadt.
Still no guesses on the acronym-chickens :upset:
